That's what I'd like to know. I was beginning to think it was me.

Do I smell bad?

::sniff sniff::

Nope, you smell fine, Jill. SIX MORE DAYS!!! How's the mood at school? Weird because of the layoffs?

I'm here - up from a nap and still feeling like crap.

Margaret - Sorry you are not feeling well still. Hope your nap was a good one.

As to the header - let's give a shout out to Chris! He's hard at work at PT and could use a Daisy boost.

Mulie - Saw your breech news on the last post. Sure hope Daisy turns back around. Oh...and Edward...hmmmmmm mmmmmmm :-D

You smell just fine Jill.

Glad to know it isn't me :)

I'm not an Edward fan.
I like the True Blood vamps better.

Eric and Bill over Edward anytime.

Mulie - I hope she turns around!

Speaking of babies - I miss Taiya :(

It's the chip double dip episode on Seinfeld tonight - a classic.

SW - Sorry this is so late.

I truly do not see what the big fuss is regarding Gay marriage between two consenting adults.

IN MY OPINION: When looking at the arguments denying blacks, chinese, etc. and women the same equality and rights as white men, nearly the same arguments were used. The basic argument was that it was against the Nature of God and his Laws.
Americans and their government have made great strides in recognizing the Human Rights of many of it's citizens. Denying a human the right to chose the partner of their choice and enter into a legally binding union is hypocrisy. (And no, I am not talking a partner of their choice as a goat, underage person, or bigamy).

I wonder if some of the difficulty of gay marriage would be resolved if the state got out of the marriage business and left that as a church sacrament with the rules made by the church. The government would issue civil union status to any couple; that would come with the rights that now attach to civil marriage. Those who wanted the church sacrament would have both the civil union from the state and the marriage from the church.

Okay. That seems really clear in my mind but I'm not sure if it would make sense to anyone reading.

Mulie, I don't suppose it would help if you stood on your head for a few hours? Probably not.

Wandering in...

How was everyone's day?

We are having buffalo chicken on the grill. I'm pretty excited about this. If anyone has a to-die-for chicken recipe, I'm all ears. We eat a lot of chicken, and I'm getting a bit tired of it.

And, I'm having a beer, because technically, it's Friday!

<----------- does not have a problem with gay marriage.

Hi bella.

Did I wander into a gay marriage convo, posting about chicken and beer? Whoops.

Gay marriage=yes.

Hiya Margaret :)

I don't have a problem with it either; I just think that if we separated church sacrament and civil union for all couples it would simplify things by removing from legal discussion the argument that some people make that "God intended one man and one woman." Fine. Your church can define marriage that way. But the state will define legal status the same for all committed couples who opt for civil union. I swear, it makes such good sense in my muddled mind.

And I'm also in favor of beer. And Buffalo Chicken.

Blogger tricked me and I was still on the last post.

I am still convinced gay marriage would offer a solution to the economic crisis.

RF, I agree on the your last post. Separate the church from the state in gay marriage, if it would make it easier to legalize.

Mulie, I spent some time over there, too, waiting for someone to show up. Just clicked back there and saw that Jill chased you over.

I think that's Elton John's stance - have a civil unions.

Mulie - how would it help the economic situation?

KaytieJ said...

RF - It does.
:::raising you a beer and buffallo wing and trying not to fling ranch dressing everywhere:::

I am just hoping the states can find their way to recognizing the right of it's adult citizens to legally marry a partner of their choice.
