We've got kittens!
SW, you can relax now.

Karen also shared a picture of her furry grandson, Duke.  He's a year old and...um...*big.

I posted first - do I win a kitten? They are so beautiful with their mama!

Angie said...

OMG! They're so cute! What a contented-looking Mama kitty too!

Thanks Karen!!! (And grudging thanks to AP, even though she made me wait 18 or so hours...)

Margo said...

Yea for a clean office SW!

Speaking of clean work spaces - I saw a sign in a salon window today that said "Vakini Wax".

KaytieJ said...

Awwwwwwwww! To both the sweet kitties and High Five Duke! TY!

SW - Hi five to you as well for getting the office clean!

Bella - Enjoy the Ricotta Pizza! I get sucked into Food Network, too and love the website. Let us know how it turns out.

CK - I confess I giggle at the color names of lipsticks and nail polish. Wish they would do it for hair color. I did mine "Dark Ash Brown"...what a boring name. Why not what I visualize...."Xena Xotic Sable" :-D

Robin - Horse Alert: I rode my very chubby wooly mammoth dirt bag bombproof black Tennessee Walker, past dh on the tractor. She did not even flinch. Just plodded on. When I rode her past the stallion and he was screaming and all over the place, it was so funny, she stretched out, picked up into high step, huffed at him and pranced. What a showoff. Animals are so funny.

Off to shower and get all this hair and dirt off me.

Lindsay said...

Hi! How is everyone? Missed you guys. . .

KaytieJ said...

:::screech to a stop::: Hellllllo Lindsay! How are you? Missed you!

Lindsay said...

Hi kaytie! Feeling better, I hope. Things are good here :)

Margo said...

Lindssssssssssss!

Lindsay said...

I haven't caught up, did you miss the concert?

Lindsay said...

Mmmmmmmmm! I couldn't fight the urge to chat any longer. Plus your salon sign had me wheezing.

Nilia said...

Hi Lindsay + Company!
Busy day. I deserve a nap.

Cute kittens! Hey, where's EL?

::steals cute black and white kitten and runs away::

Lindsay said...

Hi st :)

Man, the kittens are of the devil. You think they are so cute then you have to clean their litterboxes.

Anonymous said...

I want an orange one Karen! They are all so cute.

Sandy said...

::tapping the Schlitz keg and passing out the pork rinds::

Nilia said...

I keep forgetting to change my screen name until someone refers to ST and I don't get it for a couple of seconds. I'll get on that.

KaytieJ said...

Thanks Lindsay - feeling much better - power of Advil and Immodium and gallons of water. I did miss the concert which sucked, but I have been spoiled rotten today :-D So glad to hear you are doing well!!!

Sandy - come on out of your bunker and pass out your Schlitz and cheetos!

Lindsay said...

Hey my favorite tube top wearing biotch :) I am going to email you in a little bit ::anxiously looking for SW::

Nilia said...

Ahhhh.......... There, that's better.

Margo said...

<------ is happy the girls are back!

KaytieJ said...

Holy Moly! FT! How are you?

Margo said...

Matthew 18:20.5 - where two or more daisies are gathered there will be tube tops.

Nilia said...

Kaytie, I'm good! I hope my Spanish colleague didn't post anything inappropriate?

Regina Phalange said...

Hi everyone! So glad flop is down, hopefully that's the end of all that nonsense.

Hope everyone's having a delightful weekend.

Mulie, I got a shark mop!

Lindsay said...

<---------- Happy to be here. Hate doing it from the crackberry, though. It's so much work, you guys should feel lucky I am gracing you with my presence. Lol!

Margo said...

FT - that was you all along - I couldn't figure it out!

Lindsay said...

Okay the kids are fighting for the umpteenth time. I must go referee. I'll talk to my daisies later.

Sandy said...

::Passing out the Schlitz:: Got my party tube top on today.

KaytieJ said...

FT - Ummm...your Spanish Colleague was very, very naughty I am afraid to say. Caused BD to go on a burrito binge and run away to Disneyland. She is now disguised as Snow White and surrounded by short men singing "Hi Ho".

Regina Phalange said...

Are we drinking?! Mama needs her wine!

KaytieJ said...

Lindsay - I tried dh's crackberry once, could not figure it out at all. Handing you a fresh picked Shasta Daisy for your effort.

RP - Hello! Sandy, the one in party tube top is passing out Schlitz :-D

Anonymous said...

::Looking for a Schlitz with a cheeto garnish::

Hey ladies :) We are making the ricotta pizza, but of course Jay needs to make his *own crust, so that's rising for an hour. Another late dinner at the Bella household.

Those kittens are so cute! They grow so fast. Mom is a pretty one, for sure.

What's everyone doing tonight?

Anonymous said...

Somebody's unsuspended.

Bella, what's your favorite pizza crust recipe? We keep trying, but not finding a good one.

Regina Phalange said...

Of course, I drink the real klassy stuff. Boxed all the way!

We're having chicken salad sandwiches for dinner. I'm kind of phoning it in. Last night I made *delicious* gringo chicken tacos! Yum!

Anonymous said...

Christy, I'll have to ask Jay. He does the baking around here. We like the thin and crispy crust, and he makes a pretty good one. I'll find out and post it on the recipe link.

Regina, do you shred or chunk your chicken for tacos?

Anonymous said...

Thanks Bella...we like thin crust here, too.

Regina Phalange said...

Bella, went with the chunks this time, maybe next time I'll shred. Usually, I choose the path of least resistance when it comes to making dinner. :)

Regina Phalange said...

Alrighty, off to visit my sisters, see you later!

Muliebrity said...

Back from the grind of the Census.

Muliebrity said...

And off to a Census meeting now.

Margo said...

I just realized my face is fried from the sunnage at soccer :(

Angie said...

Lindsay! Great to see you here!

PJ said...

My dog wants a kitten.

Anonymous said...

I wish I had some sun...we are under a frost advisory tonight :( Time to get out the blankets and save the garden...again!

Anonymous said...

CKGB, my dog would like a kitten for an appetizer!

PJ said...

Bella, your dog would probably like my dog for an appetizer. He's a 10 pounder.

Erin said...

Margaret- It is so windy there too? I just realized that Janey is pretty red from lacrosse today. It is so damn windy my eyes are killing me.

I *knew, I just *knew that FT was gonna pounce on my kitty first. Big meanie head.

Deb said...

Hi ladies! Chilling with a glass of wine, post dinner. My husband picked up some steaks from the local slaughter house and they were awesome!

In from gardening. Hazardous today, we've had wind gusts over 40 mph. We have huge oaks, so I was dodging flying debris most of the afternoon and hoping our trees stayed upright. Wind burn + farmer's tan.

Corinne - I'm so sorry to hear about your grandmother, sending comforting thoughts your way for her.

Margaret - We have not been to Calvert Cliffs for fossil hunting, I did read about it in the Sun recently. We have been to Anguilla in the Caribbean and found sand dollar and shell fossils, they are way cool. Maybe sharks teeth should be next on the list!

So CK was in the KGB?

Taiya - Love seeing your little one and her too cute chubby cheeks!

Bella - are you following the Blackhawks in the playoffs?

PJ said...

Deb,

CK *IS KGB.

Deb said...

Aaahhhhhh. Do you get to wear shoes with those little knives in the toe? Or drive a cool car with turbo jets that fly over rivers? Or am I confused with CKBond and drinking my wine too fast.

Angie said...

My brother lives on Amelia Island in Florida, and when I visit him we hunt for shark's teeth. It's pretty easy to find little bitty ones. He found a big one (three inches long) once and that was very exciting.

Angie said...

Deb, gardening in 40 mph wind is hard core! Glad you didn't get hurt.

Margo said...

Yes, it's very windy here EL.

PJ said...

KnoCK KnoCK?

PJ said...

anybody??? (say "Who's There"?)

Margo said...

Who's there?

PJ said...

KGB.

PJ said...

(your turn)

Erin said...

Deb- Its going to take me all day tomorrow to pick up all the crap that has blown out of the trees.

Erin said...

kgb who

PJ said...

::slaps EL::

Ve vill ask the qvestions!

Deb said...

SW- I've found one shark's tooth in all of my beach/shelling days, in Myrtle Beach. I like to find sea glass too.

Gardening is my thing, and I have a crap load of plants to get into the ground this week. I will be out there all day tomorrow too!

The other thing is we have a humungous dead oak tree in our back that is supposed to be cut down on Monday, so it needs to survive another 24 hours of these winds and *not fall on our house, or if it decides to fall, fall onto our garage so we can get a new one (it's rotting).

Erin said...

ha ha.

Deb said...

::glad I didn't answer the KGB::

EL - Tell me about it! My mom's neighbor had a tree go down and took the lines with it. Everytime I heard a big gust coming, I got up agaist the house to avoid branches.

Erin said...

I love looking for sea glass too. The marina where we used to keep the boat had a *ton on the beach.

I have plants that have to get in, and a few yards of mulch in the driveway. The wind needs to stop already!

Deb said...

EL - I haven't even gotten mulch yet, I'm sending Mark to Frank's after work Monday in the Suburban to get bags for me!

Deb said...

The BK Queen site kills me...seriously. Whoever is writing that, I wish I could have a few beers with, too funny!

Margo said...

I just read Jacki's comments - is there a Jacki or is it another alias?

Muliebrity said...

And back.

Why couldn't FWOP answer the real burning questions, like why the hell is Dooce on HGTV?!

Deb said...

Margaret - I have *no clue. You just cannot know who is posting under what name on the internet.

twirldawg said...

I think we proved this week that you don't really know who is behind some names ;)

Muliebrity said...

Is CK still here?

I just found this blog:

www.CKWOP.blogspot.com

Nilia said...

Just went through both kids closets and made them try on every single summer item so I know what I have to buy tomorrow. Ugh.

Oh wily Margaret, couldn’t slide anything past you!

Kaytie: you don’t say! Wasn’t BD afraid of little people?

EL: I’ll wrestle you for the kitten. But be forewarned, I am very very vile. Very. Also very underhanded and I’ll stomp on you in a New York minute for Manuel the kitten. Hypothetically.

Deb: Oh my goodness, I try to ignore where meat really comes from. I just get mine from the butcher which I guess evokes enough images. But you get yours from the *slaughterhouse and *still manage to eat it?

Margo said...

Not another wop!

Deb said...

FT - Well, they keep the livestock in the back, and it's very small, localish. Not a mass-production type of place - sorry - I just don't know what else to call it!

PJ said...

Oh, dear God in heaven....

Muliebrity said...

I know, whoever made a CKWOP must have NOOOOO life.

Deb said...

Nilia said...

Here, wops are people of Italian descent.

Is CK Italian??

Deb said...

nevermind!

PJ said...

Did you do that CKinator? Or am I really famous? This is rich...

Nilia said...

CKinator: Why are you hiding? Not sure of your motives... But suspect.

Muliebrity said...

We are familiar with WOPS in St Louis, but only the ole timers really say it

Nilia said...

Deb: My parents buy directly from the farm too for pork and sometimes beef. That way we know the source so to speak, what they're fed, what they're injected with. Much better choice if you have access to it.

I was teasing.

PJ said...

Now we're going to be accused of hating Italians.

I have 5.00 more to spend at Amazon to get free shipping. Any ideas?

Muliebrity said...

It seems my blogger has been hacked and someone created a CKWOP using my profile. I feel so violated.

PJ said...

Mulie......you're a horses ass.

Deb said...

FT - It is kind of like that at our place, local farmers mostly with small "deliveries". :) . Good to "see" you again, too btw

Erin said...

Manuel?? FT, kiss my ass. His name is Claude.

Nilia said...

Sorry EL, my church already baptized him. He's Manuel Alejandro Raymundo Julio-Jose. To respect his heritage.

Muliebrity said...

Whatever do you mean, CK? Getting hacked happens all the time. I have several credible sources who claim to have been hacked as well. The internets is a scary world(wide web).

Nilia said...

Ortega, I forgot his surname.

Anonymous said...

Too many WOPS will saturate the interwebs and then no one will care. Where's mine?

Deb, I am watching the Blackhawks, exciting stuff! They can clinch it tomorrow night.

I've just finished tucking in my plants with blankets. Damn you, cold weather!

Erin said...

Fine. I will just call him Taco Bell.

Deb said...

okay ladies, I'm out. I'm tired, sore and ready to crash.

See you all sometime tomorrow!

Happy early Mother's Day to the Daisy Mom's!

ROFL Mulie!

::scurrying to register SWWOP.blogspot.com and SWWOPblog.com and SWWOP.com::

Muliebrity said...

I have finally un-hijacked my blog. CKinator was frightful and hope to never have to deal with them again.

Deb said...

Bella - sucks you are getting frost. I have sent Mark out many nights with sheets to cover my plants! He just laughs at me. Loving hockey this year. We took the girls to their first hockey game in Philly last month, they are hooked!

Deb said...

LOL Erin!

PJ said...

Anonymous said...

I'm sad to see hockey come to an end. I wish I could have seen a live game, but people around here are rabid...cheap seats were going for well over $100 in the regular season!

PJ said...

Boris made me say that. Sorry..

I'm in a better place now.

Deb said...

Okay, back to *someone needs needs to redirect their energy to the greater good, *not evil.

Muliebrity said...

I missed that? Was it vile? I would have hated to see on CKWOP!

Angie said...

OOOooo, did CK say a dirty word and I missed it?

Deb said...

Bella - !!!! That is more expensive than football tickets! We got the tickets from my company's owner, we jump on free tickets!

Muliebrity said...

OK, DaisiesWOP left me off! WTF!

Anonymous said...

Deb, it is! I wanted to get a pair for a present for Jay, but *decent seats were on StubHub for about $300 a pair. Regular tickets have been sold out all year. Pft!

I have a 52 inch HD TV. I have better seats and cheaper beer at home!

PJ said...

You SO deserve being left off, Mulie. You're so vile you can't even be a Daisy. Go join FW0P.

Nilia said...

Mulie: I'm so glad you're okay!

Anonymous said...

OK, off to watch Iron Man, not the sequel.

Take care ladies!

Amy said...

Notice to nameless people who would like to call daisies out for talking about gardening, breastpumps, and the KGB:

You hurt my feelings when you exclude me from the lists. First I'm off flop, then I'm on, then I'm off again. Now, you have your new blog of mockery, and I am left off of *THAT list, too. If you're going to call out a list of folks who post here, call out everyone.

PJ said...

Mulie,
I about wet THROUGH my adult incontinence product.

I already have one blog trashing me. I don't want to be greedy and have two.

Amy said...

Hi everyone and happy early mother's day to you vile women who have spawn. I have strep throat and feel perfectly awful and extremely vile tonight.

twirldawg said...

Geez, Amy. People are going to think you are in on it if you keep getting excluded.

Deb said...

Bella - I hear you w/the TV and the beer and the cost ratio. I had to stay home during a Ravens game one day last year for my daughter's soccer tournament, and it was pretty nice just kicking back and watching the game in HD (we have a large screen too) although, it's still fun to *be there.

Good night!

PJ said...

Makes you think, doesn't it, Jill.....

:loves amy::

Muliebrity said...

First, CK, I realized that I was left off because I am a beautiful, tall, beautiful, thin, delicate orchid, not a daisy.

Second, CK, why are you punishing the victim here? I was clearly hacked. Clearly.

Amy said...

Mulie,

Don't try to make me feel better. It's ok, I am not even good at being vile. boo hoo. How was census taking today? I take it the baby didn't arrive and force you to take it into the field, right?

PJ said...

Why, Why, Why?

twirldawg said...

Oh, and Betty White on SNL tonight.

She's our vile role model.

Deb said...

I hope you feel better Amy! I can't believe how many people I hear have strep lately

::backing away::

Amy said...

Jill,

That was vile! It must be another one of my personalities they're going to target next. ::sulks off to the corner crying::

Nilia said...

CK: I dunno. Cookies?

PJ said...

Mulie,
Victim, schmictim....

Muliebrity said...

I did get hit on by some young Ukrainians today. They taught me how to say "You are NOT the father!", ala Maury, in Ukrainian.

Amy said...

Thanks, Deb, I need to feel better by tomorrow. Many vile mothers, grandmothers, and mothers in law to visit. And I don't want the vile children to get it, er, maybe I do...then they could spread their vileness to the other children...

Nilia said...

Wow Mulie, what conversation led into *that?

PJ said...

If I have to go into hiding, you're all paying for my hotel. Did you hear that - HOTEL - no motel for me.

Four star, spa, concierge floor, suite with whirlpool and baby grand piano.

KaytieJ said...

Hi everyone and happy early mother's day to you vile women who have spawn.

Bahahaha! And to Daisies with cats and dogs, sans Spawn.

Nilia said...

CKGB: security?

twirldawg said...

I got lucky so far this mother's day. My MIL is in Maryland (my deepest apologies to those up there) and I don't have to see her.

PJ said...

Daily in room massage, towering fruit basket, 800 count linens, king size bed, all natural aromatherapy bath products, Belgian chocolates, all I can drink foo foo martinis, Veuve Clicquot Champagne.

Muliebrity said...

One guy asked me if I was pregnant, I said, yes. He said he has children all over the US, but has never met any of them. I said you never know, I might just be carrying your child. He said, he wouldn't be surprised because he gets so *wasted. He said "this black chick once brought me on Maury, but Maury said I wasn't the father" Then I asked how to say "You are NOT the father" in Ukrainian. And then we practiced saying it. And then I forgot how to say it 30 secs later.

PJ said...

And regular visits from Harry Connick Jr.
And Amy (so she doesn't feel left out).

Oh yeah, security...

Nilia said...

CK: I can see you've given this some serious thought.

Angie said...

Ahhhh, Mulie! These are the kinds of stories we *knew we'd get out of our favorite census worker eventually! Perfect!

PJ said...

Love me some young Ukrainians. I'm a cougar - post that on CKWOP!

Muliebrity said...

*all said in a heavy Russian-type accent

twirldawg said...

My real last name is Goodacre.

Harry is mine.

Muliebrity said...

They were pretty handsome young bucks (if you like square heads)!

KaytieJ said...

CKGB - Screw that. We have better. The Daisy Decompression Unit at Bella's. Homemade Pizza Dough and the beautiful Bella and her Ashcroft Ave Cousins. They'll take on anything and you will be left in peace to continue your Vegetable Presentations.

Amy said...

800 count linens...do they even make those?! Damn. CKGB you are living the good life! Can I bring you some Chipotle next time I stop by? Please?!?

Muliebrity said...

and the same guy announced he thought he had a pimple on his ass *heavy Russian accent

It should be an easy adjustment since I am Bella and Bella is me.

PJ said...

Amy,
Yes, but I won't thank you for it.

twirldawg said...

They make 800 count sheets. They were worth every penny. I'll drop over $100 on sheets again if I have to.

Muliebrity said...

CK, can I bring you chocolate milk?

PJ said...

Mole (The Husband) wants to watch a movie. But I'm terrified to see what I might come back to if I don't stay and keep my eye on you all.

For all I know you'll have started a WOP for every single alias I've ever used.

PJ said...

Mulie, leave it at the front desk.

PJ said...

::start an APWOP::

See how that goes over.

Or a WWOP (as in Wendy?)

Amy said...

I don't even expect you to come down to get it from me...I heard from your hospitality coordinator that I had to leave it at the front desk, along with my ssn, driver's license number, a picture of my kids holding a sign that says "CKGB", and a donation for your favorite charity...(you are your favorite charity, right?)

Amy said...

Jill...seriously?! I need to come take a nap on said sheets. It will be a short one, I promise. And then I'll have them dry cleaned for you. But really...800 count? Heaven!

PJ said...

Amy - you can come up. I know you're hot for Harry. I'll share.

Anonymous said...

Hm, IronMan didn't download properly, so I'm stuck watching a DVR'd Soup.

My house can be a haven for those under persecution. Think of it as the Daisy Underground Railroad, with adult beverages.

Amy said...

CK that sounds *great! And hawt! Let me get over the vile illness (I don't want to infect either of you), and I'll be right there. With Chipotle.

800 count sheets sound like buttah!

Deb said...

okay, I'm really out this time, I swear (because I do!)

My oldest daughter just told me I had to stay in bed tomorrow morning instead of getting right up for a shower....she is so sweet, and little one said yes, because we have 3 surprises for you!

So, I'm off to bed, goodnight vile ones!

Amy said...

Daisy Underground Railroad!!! Loves it! There is a "haunted house" here that was part of the UR.

KaytieJ said...

CKGB - Good choice. Hotel security sucks these days. Book First Class - no lines. And here is a package of homegrown, grain fed Black Angus T-Bones for Bella (I swear it is just meat).

Happy Mother's Day to all the moms! Sorry you all are corrupting your children by associating with this blog. As you know, breast pumps, pregnancy, general rowdiness, auctions to help out our male Daisy, stories about animals, recipes, and being kind to our old lady members (here's lookin' at you, CK!) have NO place on the internet. You sickos! I'm dialing CPS.

Robin said...

Hello, everyone. :)

Either from my so called friends OR my so called enemies.

Amy said...

Hey Robin! How's your garden growing?

PJ said...

Good night, freaks.

Robin said...

LOL Bella!

The garden is doing great, Amy. But alas, I completely ignored my yard today. Ah, well. It will still be there tomorrow.

Muliebrity said...

CK, I think you can sleep soundly. I am sure that my account is more then secured now.

Angie said...

Bella,

My guess would be food poisoning did her in...did you see the cheese she strained with her clothes? Or the homemade soda she was festering? It had a *name. That was...odd.

Robin said...

Taiya--if you see this--I couldn't yet identify all of your plants. They are so pretty!

But the ones with the green leaves with purple circles in them are geraniums.

Geraniums will bloom best if they get 8 hours of sunlight a day. So you can feel free to plant them in a sunny place, if you want to plant them outdoors.

Anonymous said...

Amy, her name was Therese.

I can remember stuff like this, but I can't remember if I paid my Kohl's bill. I need some help.

Robin said...

SW--as little as I could get away with. I sat on my butt and watched movies for most of the day. I did do a small amount of housework, but I wasn't very diligent about it.

In short, I was a bum. I took a "me" day, knowing that I'll get another one tomorrow (Mother's Day). Heh. I saw the opportunity to grab two in a row, and I grabbed it!

Erin said...

Bella- the stuffed dog over the toilet did me in!

Robin said...

AAAAAACK!! Thanks Bella. I need to pay my Kohl's bill. I almost forgot.

twirldawg said...

Bella I can remember weird details like that, but forget deodorant in the morning.
But hey, if I have BO my students leave me alone.

Muliebrity said...

Those stuffed animals in the bathroom were NASTY!

twirldawg said...

What? You guys don't have a life sized stuffed animal dog hanging over your toilet? Well, maybe this is the evil, vile, white trash place that it is said to be.

Anonymous said...

Daisies also provide reminder services. Glad I could help, Robin. Ya gotta pay that Kohl's bill, because the late charge can be killer!

The stuffed dog was named Brad. (slapping myself in the face for remembering this.)
