HAHAHAHA That Clay Aiken is prettier then the girl he is grabbing?

Anonymous said...

Nice! I have no words for this. Ummm...still got nothing.

Shannon said...

That is Clay Aiken though right? LOL

Anonymous said...

Shannon, I think you're right.

Anonymous said...

That would be Clay and the girl looks a little stunned to say the least.

Shannon said...

I was hoping I didnt make an ass of myself to find out it wasnt.....I really dont even know anything about him...seen him in tabloids and ANTM since he was on AI, hes not my cup o tea

kristin said...

He is also not looking at her boobs and she is definitely not impressed!

Lisa said...

Yep, that's Clay. And that's the woman Simon Cowell is going to marry.

Shannon, from the last post, no...this is a different Kay although I wish LFOB Kay would check in soon.

Shannon said...

I was wondering because I am sure if it was LFOB Kay she would just pop in :)

I cant wait to meet this new Kay :) and I too wish LFOB would check in I think about her a lot

Lindsay said...

I tend to agree. Clay is cuter than that girl. Hmmmm.

Anonymous said...

Clay is gay. What's up with the boobie grab?

Hi dirtbags :)

We just finished an awesome dinner here: linguine with olive oil, lemon zest and juice, garlic, tuna, fresh herbs, and chopped, toasted walnuts. Sigh. It was awesome.

kristin said...

Bella - I am so very jealous!

Hi low life!

Shannon said...

I am making stew.....but i neeeeeeddddd rolls to go with it lol

Anonymous said...

Kristin, it was so easy. Here is the link:

http://find.myrecipes.com/recipes/recipefinder.dyn?action=displayRecipe&recipe_id=651392

This ill-bred hussy recommends it.

Anonymous said...

Bella that sounds so good. I know that my husband will not eat it.

Anonymous said...

I should finish typing BEFORE I hit post. I know that my kids would like it. Dufus (sorry I'm a husband hater) is strictly meat and potatoes.

Anonymous said...

Sandy, does he not like tuna? I bet you could sub chicken for the tuna in it.

Anonymous said...

Bella, he hates everything. Hates pasta, noodles, rice, chicken, all veggies except broccoli and tomatoes. I like to try new things and so do the kids. Him, not so much.

Anonymous said...

He hates soup. Now who the hell hates soup!

Anonymous said...

LOL! Who does hate soup, indeed?

So what does he eat? Chicken, red meat, potatoes.

How the heck do you not like pasta or rice?

I would cook him a meatloaf and then make what I had for dinner for you and the kids :D

Anonymous said...

Meatloaf, steak, pot roast and potatoes. He hates chicken but will eat it. If I make anything new, he sniffs it and will go and get McDonald's. He won't even try it.

Anonymous said...

I have a shit load of really good recipes and don't even dare try them. However, the meatloaf things is a good idea. I can make that for him and he can eat it all week. LOL

Anonymous said...

How do you hate chicken!?

Anonymous said...

Make him a giant meatloaf, and make something you have been dying to try :D

Anonymous said...

I don't know how one hates chicken. He hates turkey too. He cringes at Thanksgiving, especially when he knows we're having turkey leftovers for dinner. He will eat his momma's chili though. Ground turkey, tomato bisque soup, pineapple and kidney beans with dill as the seasoning. ::gagging::

Anonymous said...

Oh God, my MIL's chili killed it. ::hangs head in shame::

kristin said...

That is what I was going to say - make something he can eat all week, that way you will only have to cook twice - then cook whatever you want for you and the kids.

kristin said...

Sorry Sandy, playing dinosaur's. Baby dinosaur had to go to the "hos-pee-tal" b/c of a broken wing.

Anonymous said...

I would make him a giant pot of that butt-nasty chili, and then make yourself some salmon or chicken, lol!

Would he eat dinosaur? :D

Lindsay said...

That sounds like the most horrible chili on the planet! Dill? Who seasons chili with dill??? And I love dill. And pineapple? Who puts pineapple in chili? I don't think your chili killed the board, but it would kill me!

Anonymous said...

Does it taste like chicken? lol

Lindsay said...

I was totally going to say I bet dinosaur tastes like chicken.

Anonymous said...

Oh Lindsay, this stuff is nasty. It's orange colored and just nasty. She has some other really creative meals. No wonder the guy hates everything.

Anonymous said...

I love balsamic vinegar. She puts it in just about everything.

Lindsay said...

Lord - even better than you making a pot of chili - ask you MIL to do it. I'm sure she'd love taking care of her son, and then you don't have to cook the nasty stuff.

Anonymous said...

Maybe that is where he got his odd eating habits.

Lindsay said...

See Sandy, you're raising adventurous kids and their spouses will thank you for it! Seriously.

Josh and Rya said...

What's up ladies? I successfully wasted my work day catching up on comments. I don't consider it wasteful, but some might. You know, like the boss.

Josh and Rya said...

My husband hates soup. Will. not. eat. soup.

Drives me crazy. I love soup.

kristin said...

Hey J&R! How are you?

Josh and Rya said...

Good, Kristin. How are you? How's the boy?

kristin said...

The boy is good, except he is doing a lot of not listening but other than that really good.

For me, same ol' Really tired but I'll survive!

Josh and Rya said...

I hear ya, my son is the prince of not listening.

Anonymous said...

J&R, doesn't it just blow your mind that they don't like soup! My kids and I could eat soup all the time.

Anonymous said...

Lindsay, I have never and will never make that crap chili. I would rather stick forks in my eyes than have to smell that crap cooking.

kristin said...

Okay - totally OT - I was typing the word dilemna and since I use Firefox - it says I'm wrong. That is the way I was taught but it says dilemma is correct. I googled it and other people are saying the same thing.

How do you spell it?

Josh and Rya said...

Yep, Sandy. I could eat soup everyday.

Anonymous said...

What really gets me is that his mom grew up on a farm in the middle of Kansas. You would think that she would have some knowledge of some kind of cooking. None.

Nilia said...

Kristin: I've always written it dilemma.

Anonymous said...

I've written it dilemma too.

Nilia said...

My husband is not a picky eater but he does like a heartier meal so soups are always on the heavy side if they are a full meal. Oldest son not too bad, youngest son is just killing me. He is so picky he doesn't like to see black pepper flakes on his eggs so I use white. Little common-taste turd.

Anonymous said...

My son is picking up my husband's eating habits because he wants to be like dad. Ain't happening. Our rule is that you have to take three bites before you can say you don't like something. He will usually eat what I put in front of him.

Nilia said...

My rule is if you don't eat it, there is nothing more until the next meal (including treats and milk since milk is filling). My little guy went pretty well on 2 or 3 pieces of potatoe until bedtime when he had milk. Didn't complain, I guess he really really didn't like it. The rest of us did though, and it's lunch for tomorrow for 3 of us, yay!

Is anybody here trying that chicken + milk recipe? I didn't look at the recipe but read when you guys referenced it. What do you guys think?

Nilia said...

Kristin, did we hurt your feelings?

::looking around anxiously::

kristin said...

Oh no! I'm watching Bachelor and trying to weed out some of my requests on FB! lol!

I'm not easily offended.

Nilia said...

Rule as above unless it's something I know it's not fair to put in front of him, like something spicy which I know he will not eat, and I don't think it's fair to make him love spicy food (hurts his tongue, he says, LOL!).

Josh and Rya said...

Well, I'm off to take a benadryl which means I'll be out in 20 minutes. Damn hives...

See ya'll in the morning.

kristin said...

Night J&R - why do you have hives?

Sorry!

Anonymous said...

FT, I don't mind when it's the spicy food. I get it. Also if it's something I know he absolutely doesn't like I don't force the issue. The boy could live on PB&J if I let him.

Josh and Rya said...

Kristin,

I have effed up skin. I'm allergic to sun screen and will even hive out when I'm in the warm sun. My face is the most sensitive. This time though I ran out of facial soap and used body wash. I know better!! I have wanted to scratch my face off all day! Oh, sweet benadryl...

kristin said...

So JM leaves tomorrow and one of her mcKids had to be taken to the ER - she didn't say why, just that everything is fine.

She should stay home!

kristin said...

Yikes J&R - no fun!

Oh, sandy - my little guy does not like Peanut butter or chocolate. Weird. If he didn't look exactly like me, I would think he might've been switched at the hospital.

Nilia said...

J&R: This hasn't happened here but when I'm not in Canada, my first exposure to sun (i.e. during summer months) always causes me to break out in hives along my neck, chest and arms. I usually have to cover up for the first few days and ease-in to the situation. I don't know what the heck the allergy is, I'm pretty sure you can't be allergic to the sun and it never happens in Canada. I've never heard of this happening to anyone else, but mine sounds mild compared to yours because it does ease off. Hope that benadryl kicks in soon. Sweet dreams, J&R!

Nilia said...

My kids could live on PB or nutella. Too bad I can't send either for their lunches since they're school is nut-free.

Josh and Rya said...

Well, thank God she put a post up to let us know that "she's okay!". I don't know about y'all, but her safety is all I've had on my mind this whole evening!

I sure hope she doesn't get the internet in Kenya.

Josh and Rya said...

FT, as I get older, it gets better. But a few times a year the sun will cover me in hives like you described. Sun screen will make it 100x worse. So bad that I can barely open my mouth and have to banish myself to the house because of the ugliness. That is why I haven't used sun screen in 10 years.

Anyways, I guess I can cross another soap/lotion off the short list of "safe items"...

kristin said...

FT - nut free - that is crazy. I guess that is understandable with the nut allergies, but what if that is all the kid will eat, ya know?

Can't they have a nut free area like a smoke free area? lol!

Anonymous said...

Someone will send her a satellite (sp? sorry Kristin) phone.

Anonymous said...

We have peanut free tables in our school. My daughter had a boy in her class that was allergic to peanuts. I wouldn't even send PB&J with her because I didn't want to be responsible for some kid having an allergic reaction. Stupid I know.

kristin said...

lol Sandy! no worries! I just correct those who say they spell well!

Nilia said...

All schools in my board are nut-free. In my school of about 350 there are maybe 3 kids with nut allergies, 1 of them life-threatening. And nobody can have any peanut products. At my school at least, if a child brings a peanut-product lunch s/he can eat it in the office and wash up and return to the classroom.

At my son's school it's no exception. Last year I sent him pad thai for lunch once (the oldest, obviously!!) and I usually get the peanut on the side because of the school thing but I forgot. They did not allow him to eat his lunch and didn't call me to at last give me a chance to bring him something else. My school is about 12 minutes away from his school.

Nilia said...

Kristin: did you catch my "they're" in a previous post? LOL!

kristin said...

Nope, sorry FT, missed it!

I am so tired!

FT - that is crazy!

Nilia said...

Any birthday treats have to be homemade and come with a list of ingredients. If not, no go. I've seen entire sheet cakes go back home with kids at the end of the day because the parent forgot / didn't know / didn't care and the kid wasn't allowed to share with friends.

I have gone around some of this by removing things from packaging and just putting it in a sandwich bag. Why yes, my Jos-Louis ARE homemade!

Nilia said...

Oh and Jos-Louis do not contain peanuts. But they may have come into contact with nuts on the assembly line or something so....

kristin said...

lol FT - that is insane!

kristin said...

alright ladies, I am beyond tired. I am going to shower and go to bed.

Night girls!

Anonymous said...

We have to give the list of ingredients in my son's Pre-K class. They actually prefer store bought to homemade and they prefer that you didn't bring in cupcakes or cakes. We gave out mini cupcakes and little goodie bags with pencils and junk in them.

Nilia said...

Goodnight, Kristin!

Anonymous said...

Night Kristin!

Nilia said...

My youngest has his birthday in the summer, but last year for my oldest I just had pizza delivered and dropped of KoolAid Jammers + bags of chips. Nobody asked me if the pizza place was peanut free which I thought was funny. Peanut oil and such, you know.

kristin said...

anyone see GM's newest post...ha ha!

Don't believe everything you read in blogosphere world....I think she is afraid of her little reputation.

LMAO...hmmmmmm....shouldn't be such a crazy GM - do a total 180 - shack up with JM - and then when no one gives you any attention - start vomiting rubbish! Poor soul!

and btw - who are you to judge, really! I'm glad you are well bred but it's what is in the heart that counts, and obviously yours is filled with hatred.

kristin said...

alright, going to bed! Night ladies!

PJ said...

Just got home - hi all! Night Kristin.

PJ said...

Bella,
When you're on - the pair of L/XL Olympic mittens came today. I got them on e-bay for $15 plus $5 shipping. Probably only a couple of bucks to mail them to you.

Can you contact AP for my e-mail address? I don't want to post it here for all the crazies lurking to see it.

Anonymous said...

I'm back. Hi CK, FT...goodnight Kristin.

CK, how is the dog toy holding up?

Anonymous said...

CK, do you have paypal? Can I email you?

PJ said...

Bella - I do - do you have my CK e-mail address?

I use a different email on paypal.

PJ said...

Oops - I only have paypal to pay people - does that mean people can pay me there too?

Lord. RV's new post involves small penis syndrome, porn, and masturbation.

PJ said...

Lord, is right. The man is a mess. Confirmed.

Anonymous said...

That's the second time tonight someone has said penis. ::giggle::

Nilia said...

"Thanks so much! Now, I am as cool as Oprah! (snort)"

You wish.

Anonymous said...

Well, obviously the small penis has worked for him. Five damn times.

PJ said...

Bella - cool - paypal virgin here - how is the $$ sent to me?

You're gonna love them - soft and snuggly on the inside. Really cute.

I did get two pair of L/XL - so if anyone else is interested, let me know (Isound like a damn mitten dealer).

Anonymous said...

FT, I know you are isolated in the land of poutine and Mounties, but I am kind of a big deal in America...

PJ said...

Oops - Bella has one - there's one more available.

Anonymous said...

CK just send me your email that you Paypal with, I will go to Paypal and plug it in and send you the cash. Instant money in your paypal account.

What do you think with shipping? $25?

::fiending for mittens...CK has the good shit::

Nilia said...

Yay for Bella getting Olympic mittens!

Nilia said...

I like how Sandy lurks until somebody says a dirty word, LOL!

Nilia said...

::sad, since I cannot be Bella's sweet, sweet Canadian supplier of Olympic mittens::

PJ said...

$23 should cover it. I'll ask unemployed husband to take them to the post office tomorrow.

PJ said...

FT - I can't believe I got them - I ordered them from ebay the night of the opening ceremonies. I must have beat people to the punch.

I did a Buy Now - and only $15.

PJ said...

The S/M I ordered a few days later cost more -

Anonymous said...

FT, I read before that you said they are all sold out?

I am actually getting them to tease my brother in law. He just found out he is 20% French Canadian from his grandmother, and he is a raging right wing, in-the-Army, ugly American. I am going to hi-five him with the Maple Leaf, lol.

Anonymous said...

That would be me FT.

Anonymous said...

Kristin is the spell check and I'm the dirty word finder, lol.

Anonymous said...

Deleted my post with my email address on it. If you want it, you can ask GM for it :D

Anonymous said...

And Sandy, you don't need snark spray here! :D

Shannon said...

Small penises, porn addictions, masturbation what is her blog coming to with letting that man post?

Shannon said...

ROFLMAO Bella.....neiner neiner I already have it :P

Anonymous said...

Shannon, she has to drive up the hits before she goes to the land of no wi-fi....Africa.

Anonymous said...

Shannon, I don't care if you have my email address...you are a lowlife like me! I am worried that those with good breeding may find out who I really am...dirty Irish!

Anonymous said...

Thank God, Bella. That stuffs a bitch to carry around.

There goes another penis!

Nilia said...

Bella: yup, they're all sold out everywhere I called that supplies them around here: The Bay, Zellers, Home Outfitters. They had them on the weekend and there was a mad rush for them yesterday afternoon and this morning, that's insane! I called one Zellers and the lady there said someone had JUST returned a pair in kids size (who does that? they were still in original condition with original tags so not used) so I bought them, $10. My little one already has a pair but what the heck. I'll still keep looking and let it be known here if I locate any adult sizes.

Anonymous said...

Here is my thing: If I was a "popular" blogger, and was into the whole Bold Blogging thing, whatever that means, I WOULD NOT let my husband blog on my blog about his small penis syndrome. There are lines that shouldn't be crossed, imo. I don't think I would let my bff know if Jay had small penis syndrome, let alone the whole world!

Nilia said...

Damn you, you're going to make me go look, aren't you?

Anonymous said...

It's not worth it, FT. It's unintelligible at best.

PJ said...

After having gone to third base with paypal (using it to pay for ebay and esty stuff), I went all the way tonight. Received money, AND printed mailing/postage label.

Anyone want to pay for a couple of nights in a motel for me? I know how to collect the $$.

PJ said...

Mitten dealer still as a L/XL pair available!

Nilia said...

CK: LOL!!

PJ said...

Sorry FT - you can be a dealer too - competition is what makes the capital market roll.

Anonymous said...

CK, I only send my money to a third party, who supposedly doles it out through Western Union.

Anonymous said...

I have a meeting at the hospital at 9, so I am off to bed.

Goodnight everyone!

Anonymous said...

Make sure you get an accurate accounting of the funds before they are shredded by the accountant/lawyer.

Shannon said...

Night Bella....I am feeling so behind here tonight LOL

Trying to eat me some stew but that shit is HOT LOL

Nilia said...

Goodnight Bella!

PJ said...

Full disclosure, Bella. And everyone else here. By God, you are my witnesses.

Mittens were $15. $5 to ship them to me. $2.26 from me to you.

Total @22.26. I owe you .74.

Good evening, ladies! Just returned from school and dang does my stomach hurt! The jalapeno burger is haunting me.

Shannon said...

Hi Karen....:)

Mulie you gotta watch out for those things....they are tasty but the bite back.

PJ said...

Hi M,
Things are hopping over at SIF's BF. Glad you all have a new, healthier place to hang. I might even post again! (banned from JM's)

Anonymous said...

CK, lol.

PJ said...

Sandy -
Hey there! I have to go to bed - need to be up at 5:30 again tomorrow and off to school at 6:30.

Special staff meeting for a short and important announcement. I have no clue what it is. Except principal teased about us spending all night guessing, so I'm thinking it's good news. He wouldn't have said that otherwise.

Anonymous said...

Night CK, I'm out too. Carpool duty in the am and then grocery shopping.

Nilia said...

CK: ooh, exciting! I could use some good news at my school, sigh.

Shannon said...

I started to post a little over at SIF's community tonight....I am just so over the whole drama with Mck's bf site and all....that is all it is anymore. I think I am becoming one of those who is done with her. She is fun to poke sticks at and point and laugh when she is dumb but seriously all the drama over at her BF is redundant.

Nilia said...

I`m out too, goodnight everyone.

Muliebrity said...

Night, CK! Yah, we are having fun. I even just called someone a whore.

Muliebrity said...

Whore in a good way, of course.

I fine, I hate when I jack of my stomach because I love to eat garbage and it limits my choices. It hasn't happened since new years so it was about time I suppose. Just waiting up to see if I can catch hubby on skype.

Life full of bRATS said...

Hey guys! How's life? I'm trying to catch up but that's a losing battle really.

Life full of bRATS said...

Oh and I'm kind of like one of those fairy god people, if you wish it hard enough I might visit.

I sleep a lot now, and am in a lot of pain.. Makes it hard to do anything but survive, much less say something intelligent. But then.. did I ever really master that?

Bah.

It's so nice to have you guys here, and reading has really distracted me tonight.

Life full of bRATS said...

So I just read the rules, and I had to go "awwww" when it said no garbage porn posts. So no Butsecks_hotlesbian_goat.exe?

I'm drugged up. I will deny being this goofy tomorrow. Or now. Whatever is convienent ;)

Shannon said...

Oh I am glad to see you!!!! I have been wondering how you are doing and missing you.....especially since I dont have you on my blogs I follow list anymore. Dont know what happened but a while back I had to reboot my computer and somehow it messed up my blog list too.

Shannon said...

LOL I think if it is hot porn it will be ok :)

Life full of bRATS said...

Oh good. I was worried, I try to avoid places that frown upon random pornography.
I've been feeling nasty, but I get to be alive, and I don't blog enough.. I need to blog I just have nothing to say. I guess I could just write about how amazing and perfect and happy my life is, but then I'd be jennifer. Because honestly I'd like to blog that I'm sad, tired, and angry that I'm still so sick. That I never did deserve this.. but then I just feel like a baby and delete the blog post and curl up with my stuffed animal feeling like a failure at this 'illness with grace' thing.

Anyone who gets as sick as I am, and says they aren't scared is lying or stupid.

Life full of bRATS said...

How're you shannon? You keeping the trolls at bay? I've read a little about your BF issues.

Also GM? what happened to her, beyond selling out to JM. Also, she still pisses me off...

You guys actually gave me a tool that seriously helps me as often as I can eat, PW's soups/stews have kept me happy and comfortable on days I'd of just been rather hungry and bitchy

Life full of bRATS said...

I'm to chatty.. But like.. I guess I said something and now I can't stop. I want to know so much and I never realized it tell I actually started typing

Shannon said...

You are just find LFOB :)

I have been troll fighting...it is fun sometimes to fight the troll....It is funny how life has turned around on GM and she has actually become one of them :)

Have you gotten to have any good news on the health front since we last talked?

Life full of bRATS said...

Nope, got a lot of bad news. I did get some hope though, in a new doctor who was very honest and open about what we're doing. I'm still seeing my neurologist but I have a new infectious disease/internal medicine specialist. He is the best, or so everyone and anyone I've talked to says. But to get better, I'm going to have to tolerate the meds.

With the meds it's hard, because I lose a lot of quality of life when on them. I can't do anything, and do better to just be sedated, because I don't want to be awake and in pain.

Kids are doing great, my youngest is going to be 4! On march 4th :D He's so big, I don't have babies anymore I have preschoolers/kindergartners and a preteen. Funny how I keep thinking life will cease to progress, and yet it seems to keep itself on track even when I'm not.

Shannon said...

I am glad that there is at least hope being given with the bad news. Hopefully they will be able to find a way to help you tolerate the meds without loosing your quality so that you can get your life back.

I cant believe he is going to be 4....sometimes I forget just how long it has been since I met all of my online peeps :)

My daughter turned 18 the end of Jan.....she is still home of course but I tease her that she may not be groundable but she is kick outable :)

Life full of bRATS said...

I've survived over a year with this disease at a severity that should have killed me.

Yes, I'm excited about having them both fully potty trained and nights are almost down too.

The meds are just so harsh, it's amazing how dangerous the drugs they're giving me are.

Ha, I wish I could kick my sister out. But, she's not all bad. She does cheer me up.

Life full of bRATS said...

Sleep time now, I will be back tomorrow.

Eatly morning here! I passed out in my recliner around 9, woke up briefly when Jake got home, back to sleep until just. The bonus is, since I showered later yesterday afternoon, I woke up dressed and ready to go for the day. :-D

Sandy, I'm an adventurous eater but that chili might well be one of the nastiest things I've ever heard of.

Hi, J&R, I think I never say hi to you because I'm always trying to catch up and forget, but hi!

Kristin, I was taught "dilemna", too. I never knew it was wrong until spellcheck.

Lisa said...

J&R, while the sun doesn't bother my face and scalp, everything else in the world does. I've finally found that Dr. Bronner's liquid soaps are the least irritating so I even wash my hair in that, then I use pure shea butter on my face when I'm done. Actually, I also coat my face with the shea butter maybe an hour before I shower, too. That stuff is miraculous.

Lisa said...

Kay, I am *so glad to see you! It always makes me day when you pop in. It sucks that you have to struggle so much with your health when there are people out there who actually deserve that struggle. :-P And really, for you? It might be okay if you post the Butsecks_hotlesbian_goat.exe file. Maybe. ;-)

I just saw bad storms are headed in this way. FT, as soon as Publix opens, I'm running to get the stuff to make the lemon milk chicken for dinner. I'll let you know how it turns out.

kristin said...

Morning ladies!

Glad you popped in LFoB! Sorry you aren't feeling well though.

Morning AP. Hope you stay dry and safe. Lemon Milk Chicken - gonna have to go back and read about that.

Off to the early morning "surprise" at school. I'll try to post later and share, if it's worth it.

Ya know, I'm really glad he's honest with himself and all but a couple of things come to mind...didn't she say one they *both waited until they were married to have sex? Also, seriously, that marriage is a mess. It really is. Lastly, it's all well and good to be honest in certain circumstances but when you have young children at home, what the *hell are these two thinking? It's bad enough that their kids will one day read this stuff. It's worse yet that neighbors and friends will read it because I've got to tell you, if Jake was around their kids' ages, no way and no *how would I let him go play at their house without me. What's going to get said, and you know good and well people will do this, accurate or not, is "Honey, you know Israel and Jennifer? Did you know he beat the crap out of her a couple and was arrested for it? And did you know he has multiple addiction problems? Plus, one of them is porn...who knows what might happen to little Mary there!" And a couple of kids overhearing that kind of conversation from their folks later, the McKinney kids are going to have one rough go of it. That? Pisses me off for them. :-(

Morning AP! You are up early!

Hey CK!

CK, hope your surprise works out. Kristin, how did LM do?

Ugh, I'm annoyed now. And then going to Africa while pregnant? She may as well just drink and shoot heroin while she's there, too. I can't stand idiots. Truly.

Good morning!

AP, MIL chili is nasty. I would eat spotted cow tongue before eating her chili.

My daughter starts ISAT testing this week. I hate that they cram that test down the kids throats. It's not the ACT for the love of God.

kristin said...

Did she mention why they went to the ER yesterday?

I feel bad for those kids, truly I do.

LM is fine, still not listening and I hate raising my voice but he just doesn't do things when asked.

I am tired, I started with waking LM up in the middle of the night to pee - woke him up at around 1:45 or so - he had already peed so I had to change him, then I could not go back to sleep for at least an hour. grrrrr....

How are you?

Corinne - how are you and how is your grandma?

Lisa said...

Kristin, he's at a tough age where he's not a baby but not really a big boy, either. It really will get better. Well, except for the no listening part. That will probably never change. ;-)

Sandy, they're teaching the test? I hated that about public schools, too...so much stress on the kids.

AP, the testing starts today. They have been cramming this testing down the kid's throats since they got back from winter break. My daughter has problems to begin with and now she is wound up like a clock.

They've been doing practice tests since January.

Hoping SW is feeling better.

Yes AP, he is at a tough age but I just wish he would listen, especially when he runs off and I'm yelling after him to stop. He really is a good kid, just very independent and stubborn.

Sandy - Good luck to your daughter!

Kristin- I'm fine :) My grandma is doing ok, the drug trial she's on seems to be helping a little (I'm not going to go into details with all the lurkers but thanks for asking, really!)

I hope LM not listening is just a phase that will end quickly!

AP- I agree with what you said re: Israel's post. There are boundaries which I feel he crossed with that post. And I'm not prude at all.
It is extremely selfish of him (both of them, actually) to be so 'open'.
Honestly, I think that when someone writes a blog post they should say to themselves 'Would I say that to someone if we were doing small talk face to face? Would I be ashamed or embarrassed to have someone discuss that post with me?'.

I feel for those kids.

Afternoon everyone :)

Afternoon to you - still morning here!

How are you today?

Glad to hear she is doing a bit better Corinne!

PC's post is just wrong. I totally agree with what Corrine said. "Would I say that to someone if we were doing small talk face to face?:

Anonymous said...

Sandy- That post was wrong on so many levels.

Can you imagine meeting Israel?

'Hi. I'm Israel McKinney. BTW, I have small penis complex'.

:P

HiT- Sorry I had to step away from the computer because of this %$%§#^ thing we call phone. I hate the phone!

You know, I'm not sure RV's post was written by RV. I mean, what kind of man who feels insecure about the size of his penis writes it for the world to see?

Good morning!

Sandy - are you still here? I loved your story about canning pickles for your dad. I grew up canning with my mom, but hadn't done it as an adult. Two summers ago I decided I wanted to do it, and spent hours on the phone with my mom walking me through it, and at my kids' urging entered hot garlic dill pickles in the fair and won first prize. That was in the summer, and my mom passed away that November. I'm so happy I had that time with her and that I had the benefit of her advice and she had the memories of helping her kid out one more time. :*)

sorry - comments are f'in up for me!

Hi Robin - what a great memory for you. Hopefully this is something you can pass down to your's and Kelly's girls.

Corinne - I hate the phone too!

Hi Lindsay!

I hate the phone too. I seriously laughed about the pot smoking thing. I can picture him in the basement "watching TV" and "working".

Well, God help me, I'm a little worried that AP has finally brainwashed me into her cult of Israel. I agree that what he wrote is not really a grand idea, in the scheme of things, and given that he references sexual addictions and something he can't even *say out loud, I'd not want my kids around them, either. (Well, for lots of reasons, but that's one.) But (to me) there was something pretty honest and raw about all that -- and what struck me the most was him saying how he'd like to *think he'd give his life for someone in his family (we all would) that he sees himself failing at putting them first on a small daily scale and that scares him. Anyway. I still think he's a douche canoe, but that particular post struck me as more honest and less pontificacious (is that a word?) than the others (s)he has written.

Hi Lindsay!

RiM- That is a sweet story :*)

HiT- Yeah. I can see him 'watch TV' and 'work' in the basement too ;-)

RIM, I'm here. My dad was very sick and in the hospital for 75 days. My parents plant a veggie garden every year. My dad so looks forward to it. My mom frozen all the beans. I canned beets, salsa and the pickles.

When my dad came home from the hospital, he was on a feeding tube and had a trach. He couldn't take food by mouth. I would go to my parents house every day to help care for him. One day he told me I ate one of your pickles and they were awesome.

While he was sedated for 20 days, I whispered to him that I made him pickles and he had to come home.

I never, ever canned before in my life. I bought a Ball canning book and just did it. My dad is still eating pickles and beets too!

I'd probably wanna smoke too if I had to deal with JM every day.
