This is what happens...

...when Tee goes to Mardi Gras. :-D

(If this doesn't bring her out tonight, nothing will!)

ROFLMAO

Shannon said...

I think tee would be a bit darker from the blushing though :)

Old Yeller makes me cry.

So does Peter Gabriel's "In Your Eyes" and not because of any stupid John Cusack shit. Because word for word, that song reminds me of how it felt to be A.'s mom when she was a newborn. Especially the line "the resolution of all the fruitless searches."

Damn, now I'm teary.

BTW...incision is officially infected and I'm on Augmentin, which, according to Mama BD, is rough on the tummy. Which is, you know, just great. :)

kristin said...

OMG! That is great!

kristin said...

previous post, in regards to Tee and mardi Gras and not BD!

Sorry about the infection BD!

Lisa said...

Maybe so, Shannon. I just hope she's not mad at me!

BD, from the last post, I googled the song. That's beautiful - I'd never really *listened to it until now. :-)

Shannon said...

I would like to look that hot in a kapp though LOL....maybe that is why I look so damn fluffy in the middle....perhaps the kapp changes everything

Jennifer-Lynn said...

Thanks, Kristin.

AP: most people think of it as dealing with romantic love, but that's exactly how I felt. Still do feel, I guess. :)

Lisa said...

BD, I can totally see that now, but yeah, I'd always thought of it as a romantic song. So, is Augmentin the bubblegum flavored stuff?

Lisa said...

Shannon, in googling for this picture, I found a couple that weren't helped a bit by the kapp. :-D

Shannon said...

HAHAHA well that is good to know...Shannon will not be running out to buy a kapp for weight appearance issues LOL

Anonymous said...

I heard a kapp draws the eyes upward, Shannon, away from your midsection. Just what I heard...

cheryl said...

Hi Ladies!

I came on a few days back, said hello, and got a welcome as warm as ants at a picnic! I was wondering if I am one of the ones not welcome. I have my big girl panties on tonight so whatever, I can take it.

How is everyone?

Anonymous said...

Hey Bella. I need me one of those Kapps.

Angie said...

Cheryl! I did not see you check in the other day! I've been hoping that you would come. I left a comment on your blog to that effect. How was your trip?

Anonymous said...

Hi Cheryl, hi Christy :)

Battling an awful cold/sinus thing here. Spicy chicken soup is the best when you feel bad. Also, I am SO SICK of winter. I'm over it!

That's the extent of my complaining tonight! How are you all?

Angie said...

And for the record, if I could look like that in a kapp, I would convert in about 90 seconds. For reals.

Angie said...

And hi Bella and Christy too. I'm drinking tonight. Sweet Potato Queen margaritas. Who's with me?

cheryl said...

Oh SW thank you! I'll check my blog because when I came on you said
"hi Cheryl." It made me feel all warm and fuzzy.

Anonymous said...

Sorry to hear your sick Bella. That soup sounds good.

Everything is pretty good here, but I can't wait for springy weather either.

Anonymous said...

Just peach iced tea here, alternating with hot tea and honey. I can't waste a good beer if I can't taste it!

Angie said...

Ahhh, I'm frustrated. I've had several posts eaten tonight!

Angie said...

Cheryl, I've thought about you a lot. I think of us as kindrid spirits, in a way.

kristin said...

Hey ladies!

Sorry, I'm in and out. Did a breathing treatment for LM and now he's in the bath. Going to go wash him and get him out.

Hope everyone is doing well!

cheryl said...

Okay SW, I take that as sincere.

And hi to Bella, Christy, and Kristin - guess you didn't see me pop in!

cheryl said...

Okay, I get it, I'm going.

But first, Kristin, just wanted you to know that I did say only nice things about you. I don't know what you heard.

And one more thing - Christy are you Iseethroughyou on MWOP. I seem to remember that from when OHIH blew up.

Going now.

Angie said...

Cheryl, don't leave yet. You didn't say how your trip was. And are you okay?

Angie said...

Cheryl, I don't know what's up, but I have not heard anything negative about you. I wish you would stay.

kristin said...

No reason to go Cheryl.

I just got Little man out of the tub, lotioned him up, struggled with him about putting his jammies on and now he is in mommies room.

You don't have to defend yourself...I don't expect that at all. I hope you know that.

No worries, just spending more time with the little guy.

kristin said...

but I do appreciate that Cheryl! :)

It is quiet in here tonight though.

My internet keeps disconnecting too - pissing me off.

Angie said...

Cheryl, Bella said Hi above.

Angie said...

It is quiet. People just stop by and check in and say Hi. Doesn't mean anybody isn't welcome.

kristin said...

Whatcha watchin SW?

Angie said...

Was just on the phone with my sister. Now watching Olympics, and googling for spoilers about it. Anybody know if Shaun White won a gold?

kristin said...

Sorry SW - guess I shouldn't have said what I said earlier :(

I didn't mean to be rude, I really wasn't at the computer at just stopped in and said "HI" and went to finish up with LM in the tub.

It's all my fault anyway :)

::going back to my corner - maybe AP should've banned me :)

Angie said...

You mean what you said about not welcoming people? I wouldn't have said it, but we're coming from different places.

Angie said...

Lordy, I'd be a terrible blog moderator. I'd freaking ban EVERYBODY today. I'm in a crabby mood.

kristin said...

Yes, exactly!

So now it looks like if I don't say hi, then I'm not welcoming...that is not it at all!

Just busy with the Little man!

Okay...I'm off for a bit, going to go fold laundry, get him to bed and clean up dinner dishes and then try to tackle his playroom, since he took all the puzzles out and dumped them.

Shannon said...

SW can I join you in that mood?

I got my paper written....not horrible but certainly not my best bullshit ever LOL. It could have been better but the theme of what we were supposed to be writing was essentially when employees dont follow directives and then must be disciplined and such.

kristin said...

I'm sorry SW and Shannon!

Angie said...

You can join me in the mood, and the margaritas, Shannon.

Shannon said...

AWESOME!!!!!

Kristin is LM getting better with his yuck? I meant to ask that earlier then got distracted with a paper LOL

SW can I have a blended strawberry margarita? The plain ones hurt too much :)

Angie said...

Sorry, Shannon. I got no strawberries.

Angie said...

Besides, strawberry margaritas are for wusses.

Shannon said...

LOL Yeah that is what I hear but I just have this thing about being able to enjoy my drink without it trying to come back as hot lava :)

But considering as how this is an internet drink I will toughen up and deal :)

Shannon said...

I can be a bad ass mama jama too!!!!

Shannon said...

Ok I will be back it is after 6 and dinner still needs to be started.

Angie said...

We know you can be a bad ass mama jama Shannon. You seem pretty much fearless to me.

Shannon said...

LOL for the most part I am pretty darn fearless. That comes with being secure in who I am I think :)

cheryl said...

Okay, I'm back. I'm fearless too. That's why I came back. I keep seeing all the little jibes some of you are doing on a daily basis. Who knows who is welcome or not. Just a short time ago, everyone was online friends. Some better than others. Now I'm afraid to turn my back. I keep checking to see who the next victim is!

SW my trip is going well, thanks for asking.

Christy, was that you? Iseethroughyou - I thought it was, it seems like your style of writing. One question though, why didn't you sign on as yourself?

Angie said...

Thanks for coming back, Cheryl. I really mean it when I saw I welcome everybody here. Well, not some assholes from my real life. But everyone from SIP. I didn't agree with what Won did, but I still like her and would like to hear from her.

Is your trip not over yet? When will you be back home?

Angie said...

saw = said

Angie said...

BTW, I admire you fearless women. I've been fearful lately.

kristin said...

I appreciate you coming back Cheryl.

I'm going to say one thing for now.

Cheryl - I appreciate you saying what you said and the little jibes were just to poke fun. It is water under the bridge, really.

Sure, I am still scratching my head but its not worth it.

Shannon - little man is good. He has a really horrible cough but it doesn't slow him down. We have a follow up appointment on Friday. Thanks for asking.

Did you get any more answers today? I may have missed it.

Okay, towels are folded, now off to put them up.

I'm hungry still....I don't know what I want to eat.

Watching the olympics - just saw the skiing - with vonn winning. There were some good wipe-outs!

Shannon said...

SW so hoping I dont burst your bubble but I have been a little fearful lately myself but have decided to own me and not let others have that kind of control over my life.

Anonymous said...

Hi Ladies. Is it virtual happy hour? I'm in if so.

Angie said...

Hi Sandy, it's most definitely virtual happy hour. But my drinks are real. ::going for another::

kristin said...

Whatcha drinking Sandy?

Oh, and I like strawberry margaritas too...that sounds really good right now.

I really want to go out for drinks.

Okay, my willpower sucks!

Angie said...

I like your attitude, Shannon.

And I like your industriousness Kristin. I wish you'd come pick up my house.

kristin said...

dammit SW....lol!

Oh, I just do the basics. I really want to take the day off and *really clean. It is driving me crazy.

Angie said...

Okay, just watch Lindsey Vonn's run. And am now typically bawlified.

Anonymous said...

SW, I'll have what your having and line two more up after that. lol Really bad day dealing with my daughter's school.

kristin said...

Sandy - I saw that on your blog and commented. What's up?

Angie said...

Care to share what happened Sandy? And I'm sorry you had a bad day.

cheryl said...

SW - Fearless is a good thing -

Angie said...

Oh great, and now one of those olympic commercials with the kids that make me cry. Lordy. "To their Moms, they'll always be kids." ::sniff::

Anonymous said...

My daughter has Autism and is really having a bad time in school. Meltdowns and the works. They called the meeting in regards to some concerns and then turn the tables and made me feel like I am the Biggest Ass Mother of the Year.

Angie said...

Okay, Vonn crying and saying "I worked so hard for this" cured me of my bawlism. Lots of people work really hard and fail. Success is counted sweetes by those who ne'er succeed. ::getting ice cream::

Anonymous said...

Cheryl...nope iseethroughyou is not me, but i *do know who it is.

Hi Sandy...sorry it didn't go better for you today.

kristin said...

I'm sorry Sandy! That has to be rough. I can't offer any help. I'm sorry. You just have to keep your head held high and know that you are a good mother and are NOT the biggest ass mother.

Oh, SW...Ohno is on! SEXY man!

and you have mail girl!

Angie said...

Sandy, that must have sucked. I'm sorry.

Anonymous said...

See they get you in little hot room, 15 to 1. Me being the 1. It just really sucks because they are letting her fall through the cracks and when I call them on it, they get all defensive and try to turn the tables and blame you. We are very strictly structured here because that's how my daughter likes it. They are blaming me for something THEY taught her.

Angie said...

15? Holy crap.

kristin said...

and I want to be on that relay so I can touch Apolo's ass...is that bad?

cheryl said...

Christy - I'm sorry, I thought it was you! It must be CK then.

Angie said...

Cheryl, I've wondered who it was too. But CK has posted as herself on MWOP, so I don't think it is her.

Kristin, no that's not bad. LOL

lee said...

Hey ladies, I'm trying to get caught up so I can post but I don't think that is ever going to happen so I'm just going say Hi anyways.

Shannon thanks for your compliments over on MWOP I didn't expect that I am just so tired of poor Mck. Shes got life so good and doesn't appreciate on bit of it.

Kristen, hows your little one doing?

AP thanks for the invite.

Sandy - been there done that where they call and meeting and they turn the tables and make you look like a terrible parent. I am so happy my son has aged out of school. It's surprising how much easier it is to care for him full time by myself everyday rather than put up with the mind games and the worrying about whether his needs were being met at school. Other than not getting a break at all, I'm glad I don't have to deal with that any longer. Certainly don't miss it at all...

lee said...

Sorry there was lots of typing errors in my post I'm typing in the dark and I guess that is not a good idea! haha!

Angie said...

Hi Lee! I don't really know you, but AP likes you, so that means you're cool. Welcome!

Anonymous said...

Hi Lee, good to *see you here.

Shannon said...

Lee I meant it. I have met a lot of real super moms and such online these last few months and none of them have to deal with anything as mundane as shopping at Target LOL

lee said...

Hi Southern woman - I'm glad AP likes me cause I like her! She's been a sweetheart to me. She's a special lady!

Hi Christy how are you doing good to see you!

kristin said...

Hey Lee!

LM is good. Coughing and it is really productive but he isn't coughing *a lot so I guess that is something. He was testing me a lot tonight, not listening, etc but he is 3, so watcha gonna do.

The breathing treatment was stressful...and I really think I need to do a few shots before but I'm hoping on Friday they will tell me he doesn't need them anymore.

thanks for asking.

How are things with you? How is your guy doing?

lee said...

Kristin coughing is good though even when he is no longer doing the breathing treatments. It keeps the stuff moving in his lungs. That is the problem when our son gets sick he can't cough on his own so we have to pound on his chest and back to keep the stuff in his lungs moving.

I've been posting over at MWOP all evening it just makes me so mad I can see right through her I can't believe how she can fool others. My husbands working and I'm sitting with my son laying across my lap because he has seizured alot so what better is there to do. I can't walk away from him to get anything accomplished so I might as well hang out on the computer. After all as I have been told I don't have a life!

Angie said...

Okay one of the snow boarders has his pants on the ground. WTF?

Angie said...

I expect that you've been told that you're jealous and that you spew hate too, Lee. That's not true either!

cheryl said...

Shannon is it you? Damn, I can't remember....

Anonymous said...

Cheryl...you're getting closer, but not there yet :) Maybe only 50 or so names left to go through, give or take.

Shannon said...

I am Shannon Cheryl LOL

cheryl said...

Well I have time! Going to read the comment again - I just know that writing style from someone here. Be back in a bit.

Angie said...

My cat just knocked over my water glass. I'm cleaning it up and calling it a day. Night all.

lee said...

Night SW sleep tight!

kristin said...

goodnight SW! You have more mail!

kristin said...

sorry about the water!

PJ said...

Hi friends! Off to catch up.

PJ said...

iseethroughyou is not me. Didn't they post on OHIH at the bitter end - and some not so kind stuff?

Or am I remembering wrong?

Hi Cheryl! Welcome. I know what you mean about the jabs. I've been "jabbed" elsewhere with a Samurai warrior sword.

Good thing mom raised me to be tough.

cheryl said...

CK - fearless is better.

kristin said...

hi CK! I don't remember if I said hello or not :(

Shannon said...

Night SW

Hello CK

kristin said...

Lee - I am sorry about the seizures. That sucks!

you mentioned not having a life- your son is your life and you are doing an awesome job and you are amazing for doing what you are doing. I'm struggling with just breathing treatments.

PJ said...

Hi Shannon - I wrote the epilogue to your book tonight.

kristin said...

oh, and hi to Christy!

geesh...I suck!

Shannon said...

LOL Well at least I dont have to feel bad for mine to you :)

PJ said...

Are we officially guesses at who iseethroughyou is?

I don't want to out somebody if I'm right with who I think it is - if they want to remain anonymous.

kristin said...

goodnight ladies!

I just saw Shaun White and his awesome run.

I am now going to climb in bed.

See ya tomorrow!

PJ said...

And she's out of there! Wow.

PJ said...

My fourth graders were not very nice today. I wish I didn't let the attitude and barbs get to me, but I do. Maybe after I've taught for a few more years, I can blow it off.

After they stabbed me, they turned the sword, too.

PJ said...

The younger kids are much nicer - more work in some ways, but also very sweet.

Lisa said...

"I came on a few days back, said hello, and got a welcome as warm as ants at a picnic! I was wondering if I am one of the ones not welcome. I have my big girl panties on tonight so whatever, I can take it."

Aww, Cheryl, I'm sorry. Personally, you're just as welcome as can be here! But like we've said, everyone is welcome, no exceptions. Some just probably ought to expect a little less enthusiasm than others until they've shown they won't be all petulant and pouty, that's all. I certainly don't think you are and am glad you came back and spoke up. :-)

Lisa said...

Lord, after I sent that, I saw Cheryl left. Cheryl, I'm not sure what's going on but I've not heard anything bad and I've always liked you. Still do. I think most of us get lost in the shuffle from time to time, that's all.

Kristin, I've got my banning wand out!
No really, what you said earlier was fine, I thought. It was honest and how you feel, but you said it nicely. Can't ask for better than that. Or maybe I feel that way since, you know, I feel that way too. :-) I mean, I'm not going to lie and say I don't have any problems with anyone from SIP. I do and don't have a problem saying so. And I'm quite certain some do with me. That's just how the world works and it doesn't mean they aren't welcome here. I'm just the doorman around this place. :-)

Bella, I'm sorry you can't taste beer right now. That's really sad.

PJ said...

Anyone from SIP, I'd love to visit with you here.

Because Wendy gave me my walking papers. I guess it's not okay to respectfully disagree there, as is said.

Anonymous said...

Me, too CK. :)

Lisa said...

LOL...Cheryl, did you find a revolving door around here? I read more and you came back, which is a very good thing but I have to admit, I was a bit taken aback by this: "Just a short time ago, everyone was online friends. Some better than others. Now I'm afraid to turn my back. I keep checking to see who the next victim is!" I hope you aren't implying that anyone here made anyone else a victim. I will say too that I don't think everyone was friends or liked one another. I think many of us put on a good show for a few for fear of losing all those others we *did care very much about. At least I know that's the case with me and that's undoubtedly how some probably felt about me. But that's the nice thing about here...no one has to put on a show any longer and it's all still good. No one is in danger of being shut off from those they care about by being upfront and honest. No one can be a victim here. Win-win. :-)

Shannon, what the heck class was that becasue that paper? Sounds awful.

And SW, what's in a sweet potato margarita?

cheryl said...

AP, I here for a minute.

CK - when were you respectfully disagreeing? I didn't notice the respect.

Shannon said...

And within seconds of my farewell I am gone as well.

Shannon said...

AP it is for my Management in Modules class...it is all about being in management in businesses....retched stuff I tell ya!!!!

cheryl said...

Gone, gone and gone - all in a minute? Think I'll just go to sleep.

Shannon said...

Cheryl I havent posted in like 2 days and the second I hit post tonight on a very nicely written farewell to everyone I was banned.

PJ said...

You found it disrespectful?

I apologize for that - I did try to stay on topic and not get personal.

Lisa said...

Sandy, that's terrible. The numbers alone are intimidating and they know that...bastards. :-( Lordy, I'm dredging this up from a conversation I had with a friend who teaches special ed years ago. Let me hunt. Okay, a 504 plan. I know you've probably researched everything to help her but just in case, is this something you've looked into? This teacher friend told me once that rather than deal with *that, they can get pretty cooperative when you start talking about getting a 504 plan in place. I just hate they made you feel this way.

Lisa said...

Shannon, that makes me never want to go back to school. What are you studying?

Shannon said...

I am studying accounting and business. I would like to start my own business helping other new business get on the path to being successful by letting them worry about their trade and I will worry about everything else.

Ultimately I just want to make some damn money LOL

PJ said...

Shannon - how long do you have left of school?

Lisa said...

Shannon, so basically your business would take care of staffing, advertising, financial matters, etc.? A management company? Many years ago, I worked for a couple and it was a *very lucrative business back then.

Shannon said...

Basically that is what I want to do. I dont think there are many places like that here where I live and I know a lot of businesses here fall into the who failing in 5 years.

I have about 3 years left of school.

Nilia said...

I'm here, just kind of quiet. But hi, CK and Shannon!

Nilia said...

Ooh, sorry, and AP also!

PJ said...

You go for it! It can be a good field. You might think about working for somebody for a while first and make some bucks, and then starting your own business. It could help fund the up front and operating costs for a while.

PJ said...

Hi FT! How are you?

Nilia said...

Good! Looking forward to having my JK assignment confirmed in writing tomorrow, so I don't have to worry about more backstabbing at school. I've had my yearly quota, thanks, and it's only February!

PJ said...

Good night all.

Nilia said...

How are you, CK? I'm sorry to that you're gone from SIP. I missed that entire conversation and whether or not your posts were respectful, what the hell ever, why is that being discussed here? You shouldn't give that another moment's thought, I wouldn't.

Nilia said...

Good night, CK, talk to you soon.

Shannon said...

HI FT I really hope that it all works out and you can focus your attention on the kids instead of the BS.

I am planning on working for someone while I am in school...if I can find a job that is LOL. I already have a business partner who is awesome with customer service and such. I figure with me being a woman and her being a bi-racial woman we will be able to apply for grants and such also to help us start up.

Shannon said...

Night CK talk to you soon

Nilia said...

Shannon, your goodbye is no longer on SIP. Will you be posting it here? It's your own words so I'm sure there's no issue of copying and pasting. If you're comfortable of course.

Lisa said...

FT, no need to be sorry. I'm not touchy. ;-)
Are you okay?

Shannon, I agree with CK. Even a good employment/recruiting agency would give you some experience you'll need. That's how I stumbled into it all. I sort of blindly and on a whim bought a very small employment agency that was floundering and got it pulled back up. My work there caught the attention of someone in a much larger market and I was hired to be second in command of a management company owned by one of the founders of Ticketmaster, Jerry Nelson. That's what really got me started. It's a good field even now, I'd think, since so many companies are needing to streamline and become more productive in today's economy. You've got a good, strong personality for it, too.

Shannon said...

Sweet AP....I will have to check into that. I am actually planning on going to some of the small businesses that are successful in my area and talking to the owners to see what kind of areas I should focus on.

The experience is a key thing for me as well as I am pretty sure nobody wants to hand their business over to some gal fresh out of college :)

Shannon said...

I did post my farwell on my blog but I will post it here as well....since I am now able to say what I want to say without fear of being called out and smacked for it.....

This is my final post on SIP. I honestly dont feel comfortable here anymore and know that I cant stay. It really sucks because I feel very close to many of you and dont want to loose contact with you but as is the world of the internet..it happens and sometimes you find each other again somewhere else.

Twice this week I have been made to personally feel like I was being errant even though I was doing nothing wrong and with how things were done earlier and the ugly things that have continued to be said I cant do it. In some respects I see this place becoming OHIH and MyCharmingKids all rolled into one and that isnt what I signed up for.

I am not leaving this message as my big whoppiedoo last post I just want to be able to express my feelings before I leave and there is no anger in my post. I sincerely hope that people do not speak ill of me once I am gone but I have no control over that one.

I hope you all find everything in life your hear desires and that my little Lia is one day the brightest light in the bunch outshining everyone.

Won I hope that you are able to get the kind of help you are seeking with this new doctor. I think in the long run it will do you and Noah both a lot of good. Please just remember that the more toes you stomp on the more feet walk away. I am not trying to be mean or rude or cruel at all but seriously I question how much I have stood behind you recently. I think you are making decisions based upon emotion rather than really thinking about it and making assumptions that have hurt this site.

But farewell my friends I hope life brings you happiness and joy.

Shannon said...

UGH it is freaking 10 and I just realized I still had my bra on....come on now it isnt that comfy LOL

Nilia said...

AP: mostly good, feeling a little anxious with the placement issue, but it will be resolved very soon. I long for warmer weather, remember how those first few mild days feel especially good? I want that and soon!

Nilia said...

Shannon: :0(

Lisa said...

"I am actually planning on going to some of the small businesses that are successful in my area and talking to the owners to see what kind of areas I should focus on."

Excellent idea!

"The experience is a key thing for me as well as I am pretty sure nobody wants to hand their business over to some gal fresh out of college :)"

No, probably not. Do you know anyone who owns a small business? If so, offer to go over everything for them free, but in exchange for a reference. Actually, offer that to several small businesses, even if you don't know the owners - basically a free, in-depth consultation in exchange for a reference if they like your suggestions. They lose nothing and you gain something you need.

Shannon said...

OHHHHH Good idea AP. I do know a couple of people that own small businesses and even with the economy are keeping their heads afloat. I just want to make sure that I go out there and find what it is that people need.

I have thought about it all so much it is making me crazy knowing I have to wait LOL. I want to find a way to offer my services like a cafeteria plan where they can pick what their needs are and then as a subcategory how much of my help they need in that area and charge accordingly.

Shannon said...

Yeah it kinda sucks FT but after the last few weeks I think I will be happier.

Lisa said...

Oh, Shannon, that was a lovely farewell post. I'm trying to put my mean hat on and find something wrong with it and just can't. It was...well...sweet. And sad. :-( I'm so sorry it's gone from there but between your blog and here, hopefully everyone you care about will find it.

Shannon said...

I do like it here though because I know if AP is being a bitch I can tell her and not have to sit in fear about how she is going to react to me....Though I have yet to really think she was being one LOL

Anonymous said...

Thanks AP--IEP meetings are the IMO like the "inquisition". It's them against you. Making every attempt to dump a condition, disease, disability whatever you want to call it in your lap.

I'm going to look into the 504 which I know might be a better option than what I am currently facing.

Until then they can kiss my snarky ass. They taught her the behavior, they can figure out how to fix it.

**jumping off the soapbox**

Is it Friday yet?

Shannon said...

I tried to keep it nice and still honest ya know? LOL I didnt want anyone saying I was being all flamboyant and bitchy and left in a blaze of glory.

Anonymous said...

Shannon, watch out AP's been quick on getting that "banning wand" out! lol

Lisa said...

"AP: mostly good, feeling a little anxious with the placement issue, but it will be resolved very soon. I long for warmer weather, remember how those first few mild days feel especially good? I want that and soon!"

Let us know how if goes tomorrow, although I am certain it'll go well. As for weather, you just hush or I'll get all jealous. I love, love, love the cold. It's in the 30's here tonight and my windows are wide open still!

Shannon said...

LOL I will be hiding in the corner with Kristin :)

Shannon said...

Can I just say how happy I am at this moment because for the first time since AP started this blog I am not feeling like I have to watch what I say.

Lisa said...

Y'all better leave me and my impotent banning wand alone! And if you call me a bitch, SW is going to weep...keep that in mind.

Shannon, I like the cafeteria style services thing. That's a good idea.

Sandy, I can only imagine. When I put Jake into elementary school for 4th grade, he had a weird-ass speech impediment. Well, maybe 4 or 5 of them...lol. We had to do an IEP for that and even in that situation, no problems and my full support, I felt like they were trying to intimidate me with 5 to my 1. I can only imagine how you felt. I don't know if it's something you could do or not, but would hiring an attorney to go with you be at all possible?

Shannon said...

OOOOPS We cant have SW crying again.....she is worse with that then I am

Speaking of such things have any of you seen City of Angels with Nicholas Cage and Meg Ryan?

Shannon said...

Sandy punch 'em all in the head if they dont like it......I hate it when "authorities" try to push bad behavior or whatever with a kid onto the parents entirely it is stupid.

"Can I just say how happy I am at this moment because for the first time since AP started this blog I am not feeling like I have to watch what I say."

Oh, Shannon, thank you so much. I'm liking this little place a lot, too. It's not any effort - 5 minutes to throw a new post up each day, play the doorman, and it's done. It's *ours, finally. I'm glad you feel good here. :-)

With that, I'm out to farm a few minutes and then try bed. Goodnight, everyone.

AP: I will, for sure.

I'm going to duck out now, helping a friend's sister clean up a speech she's giving re: some grant her school just got for spec ed, my brain's already slowing down!

Will check in tomorrow hopefully for a bit, mom and dad are up on Thursdays and mom HATES when I'm on the computer when she's over. Makes me feel like I'm 4 all over again, LOL!

Shannon said...

Night ladies...I think I will be ducking out as well for the night...have to get my focus on as my husband is using me as a pillow while playing Oblivion 4 LOL

Lisa said...

I'm back for a moment. I was farming away and realized I'd not told Lee how happy I am to see her. I got distracted talking to Cheryl and totally forgot to say that - I'm sorry, Lee! Believe me, I'm *beyond happy you're here. :-)

Checking in a minute before bed - just caught up - so sappy here today - BD and her bellybutton fester... and her sweet girls - AP and her list of things that make her cry (aww) Shannon with her sweet goodbye from SIP (which i saw was deleted like 3 minutes after it posted and i didn't get to read it so i'm glad you re-posted here!) all the olympic teariness... Such love here today :) makes me feel like "home"

So anyone awake? LOL

Gonna get me banned? from where? or what?

Shannon said...

Oh it will Karen sorry to say you will be the next to feel the bite of the ban Sorry sweetness. You may want to delete it.

Nilia said...

Not from here, that's for sure. I shouldn't say any more, put you in a difficult spot.

Karen said...

I'm not deleting something I meant... even though I'm not even sure what I said that would get me banned? but... I said it... I'll take my chances... I don't even know what was wrong with it, so if I don't feel it was wrong... I'm not deleting it....

Hi Shannon :)

Nilia said...

Sorry Karen, don't mean to be mysterious.

Well I have nothing to lose, so:

Shannon said...

Hi Karen.

You cant post things from somewhere here or you will be in trouble somewhere.

Nilia said...

Shannon, so cloak and dagger, LOL!

You people are bad for my bedtime.

Karen said...

Shannon if me saying that your post was deleted so I'm glad you reposted it here gets me deleted there, then thats the way it will be - I didn't know why you posted and it was already deleted, til later when I came here... and I saw that you reposted.

Is that why you were banned? or left? or were you banned? LOL I'm confused

Shannon said...

Oh I was banned Karen. I didnt want to see you get banned because of me because that statement about my post being deleted there will do it. There has been another rash of bannings tonight.

I was leaving but within seconds of my hitting the post button, I was banned. SECONDS lol.

FT go to bed you have to go fight with kids tomorrow LOL

Karen said...

LOL FT stay awake late like the cool kids!

I don't want to get you in trouble FT!!

Nilia said...

No Karen, that's why *I was banned.

Karen said...

You were banned for saying something here from there? I'm confused!!

Seriously - if me saying to a friend that i was glad to see you repost your "farewell" from another blog on this blog gets me banned, so be it... I wouldn't want to lose touch with some there that don't want to come here, but I can't see not being able to say something like that to a friend...

Shannon said...

We are currently at 3 going to be 4.....but here we get threatened with a impotent banning wand LOL

Karen said...

You were banned FT?????

Karen said...

and CK was she banned too?

Shannon said...

Yep that is how FT got banned tonight because she told me she saw my post was deleted from there.

Karen said...

AP is IMPOTENT????

OMG such gossip I am getting here tonight!!! whoooo

Sorry AP about the impotency... is that why you love RV so much??? :)

Shannon said...

Yep and she wasnt even being naughty. That was what made my decision because some were trying to goat her into an argument but she stepped above that and was being rather pleasant and then banned.

Oh it has just been a night that's for sure.

Shannon said...

Just her wand but I think if we chip in and get her some batteries she will be good to go by morning LOL

Karen said...

I'm gonna be 48 years old on Sunday - I am not in grade school, and I'm not going to watch my mouth when I'm playing at someone's house that I don't talk about my friend from another house... I'm just not going to be in school again - if that is a reason for banning... then there is going to be nobody left... Holy shit!

Karen said...

Batteries, that will fix her right up!!

AP are you farming? is that what impotent women do?

Nilia said...

Yes Karen, I was. I posted this at 12:47 a.m. earlier today:

Shannon, your goodbye is no longer on SIP. Will you be posting it here? It's your own words so I'm sure there's no issue of copying and pasting. If you're comfortable of course.

And next thing I knew I had 2 emails.

See I figured Shannon has the right to post her own words. Did I break the rule about her post being gone? Seriously do you think she didn't already surmise that? I could have emailed her privately but seriously I am a 40 year old grown up and I'm not reverting back to that mean girl stuff, sneaking around.

I'm not sure if my invite was revoked right away. I was offered an explanation. I don't need an explanation, I'm not going to have anyone wag their finger at me. So if I wasn't already uninvited (I might have been) I asked to be. Done.

Shannon said...

LOL I know!!!! My tongue hurts for biting it so much lately. Hell that is a big reason I have only been lurking for days now because I didnt want my words used against me but today I decided skrew it!!! I am going to be 38 next month why do I have to feel like I am in school again. Hell I was worried for a while about posting on here because I was afraid of backlash...I am not that person LOL

Karen said...

Yes Shannon should have the right to repost her own words anywhere she wants.. and as her friend, you or I should have the right to speak to her here about something SHE said somewhere else.... I'm a grown up too - for real I am!

Nilia said...

Karen, better check your email, LOL!

Karen said...

Shannon you're still just a baby!! I'm gonna be 48 in about um, a few more days!! LOL

Still you are older than Patti though - she's a baby - yep I'm a cradle robber.... hehehehe

Shannon said...

LOL nothing wrong with robbing cradle's, Josh is 4 years younger then me.

And I never saw an issue with posting my own words till I did the cliff notes I wrote and was reprimanded for it.

You guys are awesome!!

Nilia said...

Cradle robber checking in here. Not too bad, 1 year, 4 months older than husband.

Crap, I'm not even tired anymore.

Shannon said...

Oh shit someone fed the crack to FT LOL

Karen said...

Cliff notes? on your blog? from OHIH? I read that tonight... I thought they summed things up pretty well, that was wrong?

Sorry FT didn't mean to make you stay up and get a second wind!! ooppsie daisy!!

I'm 13 years older than Patti.... Ha beat ya both!! LOL

Shannon said...

Apparently Karen as I had written then and then posted them on SIP first. I was told that what is said there stays there. I didnt take the post down.

Shannon said...

HAHAHAHAHA you got us beat

Karen said...

My email associated with the blogs I'm on is my gmail and i never ever ever use - you told me to check my email FT which I did and I had 975 messages in there - all junk!! LOL now I'm sitting here deleting them all!!

Shannon said...

Oh and I should say

*ooopsie daisy did I say AP has an impotent wand?

Nilia said...

Shannon: LOL!!! I have to be careful not to stay awake too long because then I just won't sleep at all. I may be awake all night, I do that now and again, I'll get tired tomorrow around early afternoon, but be fine by dinner time again.

Karen: That's okay, this is way more fun than sleep.

Karen said...

My son is 27 - Patti is 34 - will be 35 in June...

Is that bad? :)

Not that I care.. just wondering!

Karen said...

Those kids will walk all over you if you get no sleep FT! what time zone are you in?

Nilia said...

Sorry Karen, I wasn't hinting that you had an email from me, I don't even have your email address! Maybe she'll leave you on as a lesson to Shannon and I. I dunno.
