Love it!

Supposedly when you play this socially, drinking adult beverages is an integral part of the game.

Lisa said...

CK, who knew? I bet that's why I had an instinctive love of the game, though.

PJ said...

And women are often better curlers than men.

Gotta sleep. Daughter called twice from her dorm across town - throwing up all day. Husband (her stepdad) will bring her saltines, gingerale, jello and tylenol in the morning.

!Surprise! that she didn't call her dad who lives about a mile from the dorm. I guess I should be flattered that she knows we'll help out.

But I'm just half asleep.

PJ said...

AP - beautiful man in a towel, beautiful woman in a kapp, then one of the more bizarre videos I've ever seen.

What had you been smokin' lady?

(P.S It was perfect in its representation of Wednesday night's bloodbath.)

kristin said...

Morning ladies!

Its early! LM was up around 5:45 :(

Anonymous said...

Hi ladies!

SW- I think it's official, I'm a voodoo master!
I was so happy Lysacek won. And, did you see Brian Joubert? OMG. His free program was even worse than his short program!

Anonymous said...

Maybe I should play the lottery?

Anonymous said...

Also, the French biathlete Simon Fourcad finished 60th of his race. He was hoping for a medal.

I'm on cloud 9.

kristin said...

I'm a bad American. I went into my bedroom at 9:30 and fell asleep shortly after. I had every intention of watching the Figure Skating but I couldn't even keep my eyes open for the Japanese guy.

Oh well. I did see where they were saying the Russian had a better technical program than the American.

Hey Corinne! How are you?

Anonymous said...

Hi Kristin!

I'm fine. Thanks for asking :) I'm sorry LM was up so early. That sucks.

Plushenko's technical program was indeed better than Lysacek's, mostly because he attempted (succesfully) quadruple jumps (I think it was a quadruple axel) and the American tried none.

But, artistically speaking, Lysacek's program was far more original and overall better. That's why he won.

Brian Joubert ended up 16th!!! (Right before the Belgian skater)

kristin said...

Yes - I need coffee - he was also up at 3:00 - he had a bo-bo on his back and wanted to change shirts.

Anonymous said...

Sh*t. I'm looking for a comment I saw on the Mckdaddy post that I found hilarious but I can't seem to find it now :(

A sheeple was basically saying that she was not having sex to feel closer to her husband but to feel closer to God.

I seriously burst into laughter when I read that.

Anonymous said...

Ok. Found it:

"Sex is now an act of worship to me, not worship of my husband but of my God."

kristin said...

Closer to God? Are you freakin serious? WTF?

Anonymous said...

Kristin- Don't you know that prayer is *so out! Now, if you want to worship God, you have sex.

I suppose that's good news for hookers.

kristin said...

I wonder if her husband uses that to his advantage - oh honey, you sinned - you said the "f" word, I think you need to worship your God!

Anonymous said...

Kristin- Lol :D

kristin said...

I am sure every man wished their wives worshipped their God that way.

Lisa said...

'Morning, y'all! Corinne, I'm not keeping up with anything but curling, lol, so I can't engage in Olympic talk with you but that comment about sex? You just *know her husband is laughing his ass off about that. I would be.

CK, hope your daughter gets to feeling better...very cool she called y'all. It's just the little victories that really count, isn't it?

Sarah, hi!

Jill, are you out there? How are you feeling?

And Kristin, I won't be back until afternoon so *please, try to behave. ;-)

Anonymous said...

Kristin- Yes. I can hear it 'Oh honey, I think you need to worship God. How about a BJ?' =P

Anonymous said...

Hey AP!

Her husband is so laughing about tha comment, you're right!

kristin said...

and some of the really young stupid sheeple are saying...oh, you know that makes sense. That is a really good idea!

Some husbands are going to be happy campers.

kristin said...

CK - yes, I hope your daughter is feeling better. That is really nice of your hubby to do that. My stepdad is like that.

Sarah - I hope whatever is going on gets better soon.

Sory...I meant to comment on everyone but I hadn't had my first cup of coffee yet.

AP - I will try my best to behave.

twirldawg said...

AP you caught me lurking.

A student was shot and killed yesterday so school has been very difficult.

kristin said...

Jill - I am sorry. I read about that.

How are you holding up?

That is tragic. It sounds like he was a really good kid.

Sick, sick world.

kristin said...

Jill - SW will be thrilled that you popped in, she has been missing her sister wife. I really have no clue what that means but she has been calling for her sister wife for a few days!

twirldawg said...

Hi Kristin!

Anonymous said...

Hi Jill! I read about the student. That is tragic. :(

Kristin- Sister wife is a Big Love thing ;)

twirldawg said...

I'm doing ok, I'm worried about the kids though. The young man is truly extraordinary.

kristin said...

Hey Jill! Yes he seemed like a really great person. I hope the kids are able to get some help and work through it.

Corinne - yeah, I got that part I just don't know what it means, which is fine b/c I don't watch it.

Anonymous said...

Kristin- Well, the series is about a polygamous mormon :)

Jill- This is all just terrible.

My Sparkling Life said...

Morning girls! Just finishing up my quad-shot espresso........

Robin in Montana said...

Morning!

Corinne - I want to thank you. I've been feeling a little afloat with my stance on religion, having been "banned" from the one I grew up in recently, but I see now that I need not worry, I'm still worshipping God. A lot. :-) You've given me peace of mind! ::nods::

Robin in Montana said...

Bella - not sure if you're still here, but yes in the winter the chickens will need heat. You can do it with just a hanging heat lamp that you can find at the feed store. Also if you're going to start with chicks, you'll need some ... well, I don't know what it is, like antibiotic, basically, that you put in their water. And put marbles in the waterer so they don't get in their and stomp around and poop it up. I don't know about a movable house thing -- that would probably be a good idea. They do need to be able to get out and wander around, even in a pen. And ... hmmm, what else ... you can give them oyster shells once they start laying eggs to give them calcium for the shells.

Here's a link to a little article that looks pretty helpful:

http://www.webelfin.com/chickens/chickfeed.html

kristin said...

Morning Robin!

Yes, yes you have! ;)

Robin in Montana said...

AP -- I'll keep Kristin in line for you today. One misstep, and *wham! She's outta here.

::channeling Dwight Schrute:::

kristin said...

I'm tired today so I think that I will be "good" unless I get to the goofy point of tiredness...then, well then I can't be accountable :)

Robin in Montana said...

lol. I will try to be good today, too. My newfound Godliness is weighing on me. :-)

Robin in Montana said...

Totally in an aside, and then I will get to work and quit blabbing over here.

The basketball game last night? Did not go well. Not at all. They lost, 19 to 3. At least Cami's hair looked good, though. :)

My Sparkling Life said...

RiM: LOL! A little Office dialogue for you...

Kristin: What's this? (looking at a ticket)
Robin: That is a demerit.
Kristin: "Kristin, sassiness." Oh, I love it already.
Robin: You've got to learn, Kristin, you're not above the law.
Kristin: Oh I understand. And I also have lots of questions. Like what does a demerit mean?
Robin: Let's put it this way. You do not want to receive three of those.
Kristin: Lay it on me.
Robin: Three demerits, and you'll receive a citation.
Kristin: Now that sounds serious.
Robin: Oh it is serious. Five citations, and you're looking at a violation. Four of those, and you'll receive a verbal warning. Keep it up, and you're looking at a written warning. Two of those, that'll land you in a world of hurt.

kristin said...

ouch 19 -3 - that seems like a very low score - hmmm...well at least her hair looked good :)

Trudy said...

Good Morning Everyone. =)

kristin said...

LMAO @ HiT!

Funny you say that b/c LM likes mommy to drive fast. The other day, I told him I couldn't.

LM: Why?

I say, b/c police men don't like it when you drive fast.

LM: Why?

I say b/c you can get into an accident and get a ticket.

LM: I want a ticket

Me: Tickets are bad

LM: Why?

Yup, love the why stage!

Robin in Montana said...

HiT -- I am dying here.

kristin said...

::waving madly at Trudy!

Hey girl! How are you?

Robin in Montana said...

Kristin -- yeah, low scoring. I don't think any of their games have been over 20 or 25 points. So funny because schools here are so small. Our girls are all in 6th grade, but the school they played last night is so small that they only have FIVE girls, so no one sits out, and they range from 5th to 8th grade. The 8th grader? Could pick me up and throw me. lol.

Robin in Montana said...

Hi Trudy!

Anonymous said...

Hi HiT, RiM & Trudy!

RiM- You are welcome. I think I've given myself a peace of mind. Sex out of wedlock is not a crime since we're just basically worshipping God.

HiT- I love that little dialogue.

I, too, <3 'The Office'.

Anonymous said...

19-3? Yikes. But, good thing about the hair ;)

My Sparkling Life said...

The whole sex/worshiping God thing. WTF? Seriously, that would be the last thing on MY mind. Brings a whole new meaning to "Make a joyful noise unto the Lord"....

Robin in Montana said...

Cami is worried for practice on Monday. She knows there's going to be hell to pay. lol.

kristin said...

Trudy - did we scare you away?

I will tone it down and mildly wave at you from afar?

Robin in Montana said...

HiT -- Whatever you're drinking this morning, I want some! You're on a roll! lol.

I so wish I could post at BF, and I would totally steal that.

My Sparkling Life said...

RiM: It's the quad shot espresso from Starbucks ;)

My Sparkling Life said...

RiM: Me too. Totally banned from there.

Robin in Montana said...

HiT -- That's so unfair, since obviously we have so much to contribute. I wanted to talk about va-jj's with RV yesterday, but no dice on that one, either.

My Sparkling Life said...

Yeah, they get their panties in a wad when you call 'em sheeples.

Jennifer-Lynn said...

Morning all:

I think I left part of my tangerine peel on before I blended my smoothie. I drank it anyway, though.

RE: BF post...

My vagina is
a shining temple; God smiles
and says "it is good."

Robin in Montana said...

I see that darn Megan beat me on the Office quiz. :::shakes fist at her:::

Jennifer-Lynn said...

This must be why my husband yells "hallelujah" at climax.

Robin in Montana said...

BD - that was very good. But va-jj would have worked, too.

How is your belly button this morning?

Jennifer-Lynn said...

Belly button is still gross, but pain is receding. I am hopeful. :)

Jennifer-Lynn said...

RiM, can't get behind va-jay-jay (or however it is spelled). I call bodies parts by their names, and people by their behaviors. :)

Robin in Montana said...

BD -- I am going to start saying amen. And speaking in tongues.

My Sparkling Life said...

BD: ::wiping coffee off my screen::

Robin in Montana said...

BD -- That's a good stance, I think. I noticed at that blog yesterday someone asked why it was okay for him to say that when JM has been so big on "proper names for body parts." One of the sheeple immediately said it's because it just sounds more "fun." Oh, okay.

Jennifer-Lynn said...

Which reminds me of a point I was going to make yesterday...why are people who are so up on "urinate" and "bowel movement" saying "va-j-j" anyway? Assholes.

Jennifer-Lynn said...

RiM, you beat me to it.

RE: Mr. BD, the "hallelujah" is much more poetic than when he was going through his atheist phase, when he'd scream "Darwin, you smart fucker!"

Angie said...

Oh Boo! When I saw the title, I thought ice skating would be the new official sanctioned Daisy sport. I'm still on my Lysacek high - Woohoo!

Corinne, mad props for your voodoo powers! You didn't make the Russian spat, but you made him wobble, and that was enough!

Morning all! I'm so freaking late dragging my ass to work today! Going to catch up on comments now.

And then maybe some work, you know, later.

Robin in Montana said...

Well, he is the inferior spouse and admitted to being dumb as a rock, so he gets a pass for juvenile verbiage.

Robin in Montana said...

BD -- I literally just made a wheezing sound. That is so damn funny.

My Sparkling Life said...

I doubt she refers to "it" as p**is. Since she likes writing so much, I'm guessing she calls it a "dangling participle"....

Jennifer-Lynn said...

I'll grant you, I understand the initial and intended meaning of "submission" in marriage, which I don't think is offensive when done the "right" way, but...

How is it "submitting" when you constantly undermine and belittle your husband? Someone give me a heads up, because I'm not getting it.

Jennifer-Lynn said...

I mean, I'm sitting here putting words in my poor, unaware husband's theoretical orgasming mouth, so there's no way I can be considered submissive by any stretch. But I never claimed to be submissive in my marriage.

Robin in Montana said...

BD -- You missed that memo. "Bold" and "truthful" submission is different from your run of the mill submission.

Jennifer-Lynn said...

RiM: OH!

::nods:: okay then.

My Sparkling Life said...

RIM: Well, he is the inferior spouse and admitted to being dumb as a rock, so he gets a pass for juvenile verbiage.

He's a few fries short of a happy meal.

Robin in Montana said...

Okay, all. I have got to get my ass in gear and get some work done today. No kids this weekend, so a trip to Cost*co, dinner out, birthday presents to buy, and worship is going to be on the schedule.

My Sparkling Life said...

RiM: Have fun!

kristin said...

Bye RiM!

*see ya 'round!

kristin said...

I thought you were going to "babysit" me today. ::grins evilly

My Sparkling Life said...

Krisitn: LOL!

Angie said...

Dang, I'm out for a while and come back to find Robin has become a holy roller. WTF?

Jill, so glad you checked in. I've missed you and have been thinking about you. I'm sorry about the tragedy in your school. Strange times we live in.

Sarah, I've missed you as well. How's our Potato?

Oh, and I'm not going to volunteer to babysit Kristin. She's a badass and could kick my ass.

Robin in Montana said...

Kristin -- Even when I'm not here, I'm waaattccchhhinnnng. ::cackles evilly::

kristin said...

is it bad that I giggled a bit at SW's comment?

Robin in Montana said...

SW - Yes. I found a religion I can get on board (heh) with.

kristin said...

Maybe that is your calling RiM - we can open a church of sex? Interesting, very interesting!

Anonymous said...

Hola, girls. RiM, thanks for the info. I think we will build a coop off of our garage, with a door into the garage so they can go inside.

That's a lot bigger plan, so we'll see if Jay is on board.

How is everyone? Happy Friday!

Robin in Montana said...

Kristin - I could start a blog to minister to people. Maybe Kelly could start a blog as well, offering a man's perspective. I'd write it for him, of course, since I know what he's thinking more than he does, but still. I'll have to figure out how to dress him first.

Jennifer-Lynn said...

How can you tell if two snails are mating?

This is an actual question, not a joke or a riddle.

Alanna found two snail shells that are stuck together. I think they're doing the Batusi in there, but am not sure. In any case, I told her to leave them alone, because they are "sleeping." She asked if she could make noise. Sure, what the hell.

Angie said...

"Sure, what the hell." LOL

Hola Bella!

kristin said...

BD - I'm not sure what they would be doing but I don't think they are mating:

kristin said...

This is kinda cute:

My Sparkling Life said...

My co-worker is squealing again. I.can't.take.it.

Jennifer-Lynn said...

Kristin:

That's pretty much what it looks like; you can see one head, but not the other, last time I looked at them.

Maybe they are having oral, the way that God intended snails should.

Jennifer-Lynn said...

FYI:

I'm having an event at my house, called "Blow Your Tax Refund Here" or something equally clever. I'm selling my wine, and I'm having the following reps: Arbonne, Pampered Chef, Tastefuly Simple and Scentsy (which I will not mention again so as not to drive business away from Kristin's sister). If you A.) live in the SoCal area and want to come, e-mail me at belladonna1125(at)gmail.com, or B.) want to place an order even though you can't come, please e-mail me at same.

Ann, this will be up on MM, but you are implored to bring friends.

Jennifer-Lynn said...

Hope, if you are here (not sure) I hope you come as well.

Robin in Montana said...

BD -- the way God intended.

I hate you. lol.

I need you to write a letter to the OR court of appeals explaining that I was unable to complete my transcript on time because I was thinking about snail sex and how you bear responsibility for that.

I am going to order from Kristin's siter for Scentsy, but I love Arbonne. I haven't used it in awhile due to being flat ass broke (:g) but I love that Nutrimin-C skincare stuff.

Jennifer-Lynn said...

Oh! This is on March 25, so plenty of time.

kristin said...

Interesting BD - I thought you meant they were stuck together, together with no breathing room.

Is "whist" a word:

JM on FB

Whist my husband has taken our kiddos to the Community Center, I am home writing. And eating cereal. Wow, what a double treat!

Jennifer-Lynn said...

RiM:

It would be my pleasure to write such a letter. ::nods::

I've never even seen Scentsy stuff. I'm just having the party for a friend who is a new consultant. Same thing that happens with the Tastefully Simple. I'm such a patsy.

Robin in Montana said...

I'll be 41 by one day by then, so I'll be wanting to fight the aging and probably prone to spending a stupid amount of money. Does ARbonne have a new line since the Nutrimin-C? I have two friends in OR who have made themselves pretty darn well off selling Arbonne.

Jennifer-Lynn said...

Kristin, that's what they were like when I first looked at them. Apparently they shifted positions. Slutty snails.

Whist is a card game. She meant Whilst. Idiot.

Angie said...

Kristin, I think she meant "whilst." Funny how someone who made a 31 on the ACT test missed that.

kristin said...

that is what I thought - I googled "whist" and got info on the card game too.

Jennifer-Lynn said...

RiM:

I can ask her. In the meantime, I'll be telling you how badly you age so you order stuff. ::cackles madly::

I'll probably donate the TS stuff to the soup kitchen again. I have no idea what to do with the proceeds from the Arbonne, Scentsy or PC. Keep 'em, I guess. :)

Robin in Montana said...

I love Scentsy. Kristin sent me a bunch of samples and through an (miserable failure on my part) online party I had through her she sent me a big warmer and a little plug-in-outlet one. I love their stuff.

Angie said...

BD, Hope has not posted here (that I've seen), but I wish she would. I like her.

Jennifer-Lynn said...

I would not have used "whilst" there, but I sometimes say things to be funny, such as "thusly" or "hencewhy." I know they make no sense. So I'll let her slide here. ::raises eyebrow appraisingly::

Jennifer-Lynn said...

SW:

I have her e-mail. We need to get together anyway (with Ann!).

kristin said...

So what is everyone doing this weekend?

RiM - we know you will be worshipping God and all that :)

Jennifer-Lynn said...

I will be working, sadly.

Erin said...

I will be at a wrestling tournament all weekend, sadly. Hi all!

Angie said...

I've GOT to get my house picked up so the housekeeper can come on Monday. That's what I'm doing this weekend. I basically live in filth most of the time, and every other Monday my HK comes and cleans. Her last scheduled visit was the Monday after the Super Bowl, and I cancelled on her since I had a Super Bowl party the Sunday night before and couldn't get the house back in order in time.

Fast forward two weeks and I still haven't cleaned up from the damn party. I suck.

Angie said...

Hi Erin!

Jennifer-Lynn said...

SW:

Re: cleaning for the housekeeper and living in filth...

I've never loved you more than I do at this moment. I'm battling AP for your hand.

Angie said...

LOL BD! AP who? I'm all yours! You had me at "guest chef in a wine cellar for 75 people"!

Robin in Montana said...

I have nothing exciting planned. Costco. whoopee.

Jennifer-Lynn said...

SW:

I made champagne asparagus risotto with shrimp and individual strawberry custard tarts for those lucky 75. Imagine what I can do for you...

I'll wait for you to finish swooning before you answer. :)

kristin said...

BD - secretly, I hope you win, so then I can start moving in on AP, although she has already told me she is loyal to SW.

Although, you might have a chance with your killer cooking skills!

kristin said...

Hi EL! sorry, meant to say howdy earlier!

Robin in Montana said...

BD - I want pasta tonight. Tell me something.

I guess I've never had good risotto yet, because I just dont' "get" it. Admittedly, my only experience was making the PW recipe and it had so much cheese and was so rich that one bite was ... ack. Too much.

Anonymous said...

"I made champagne asparagus risotto with shrimp and individual strawberry custard tarts for those lucky 75. "

Bd, will you adopt me?

EL- Hi! =)

Jennifer-Lynn said...

RiM:

I am making pasta e fagioli tonight. Interested?

Jennifer-Lynn said...

Corinne = offspring of BD and SW....

sweet!

Robin in Montana said...

BD - I am interested. I was also eyeballing your recipe for penne vodka. Maybe with some shrimp?

Anonymous said...

Bd- Yay! =)

Angie said...

::still not finished swooning::

My Sparkling Life said...

I'm losing my caffeine buzzzzzzzz..........

Angie said...

Corinne, we will absolutely adopt you! I've seen how you care for your grandmother, and I believe you'll take good care of us in our old age! ::nods::

Erin said...

Sorry, I was packing my suitcase. Going to live at BD's until I am fat as Gilbert Grapes Mama.

Erin said...

Corinne- your voodoo hexes are *very impressive!

Angie said...

Ha EL! We're all moving in with BD! Is your house big enough BD? Maybe we should oust JM from her Mckmansion and make it our commune.

Or just wait until it's foreclosed on. Which shouldn't take too terribly long.

Anonymous said...

HiT- In need of another espresso?!?

SW- I will take care of you! But, I can be a real PITA sometimes. Just so you know... ;)

EL- I know, I know... It's scary, isn't it? Lol

Angie said...

BD's already a momma. Thus she knows how to deal with PITAs. No worries.

Robin in Montana said...

Okay, I'm going to sign off or I'll never get anything done today. You people are crack.

Angie said...

Bye Robin! You'll be back soon!!

Anonymous said...

SW- I also talk...A.LOT. (You'll need a lot of duct tape to shush me ;) )

Anonymous said...

See ya, Robin!

Angie said...

You are mouthy, Corinne. I can see that! So how did you find out about the skating victory this morning? Did you run to the computer when you got up to see if your mojo worked?

Anonymous said...

SW- I heard on the radio. Then, I turned the TV on to see if they were showing the performances on the news and they were.

Lysacek was impressive. I think he deserves his medal. (I'm not biased at.all.) ;)

kristin said...

see ya RiM!

Anonymous said...

I need to sign off now. I'll try to be back later but if not, have a good day all!

Angie said...

Lysacek was impressive and seems like such a good guy. I love when the guy guys win! I felt a bit bad for the Russian, I'll admit, but he has his gold. And he was stoic in defeat.

kristin said...

Bye Corinne! Have a great day too!

Angie said...

Bye Corinne! And thanks again!!

PJ said...

Quick check in at work.

Please note: Corinne is mine, all mine. She is my buxom Belgium daughter. I got her first. So. There.

kristin said...

Hi ya CK! How are you today? How is your daughter feeling?

Jennifer-Lynn said...

My house is small, yet no one is sleeping in closets. That's because we believe in birth control until we can afford to have more kids. Kooky!

Come on over. We'll have a great time.

RiM: I'll post pasta e fagioli in a bit.

PJ said...

Kristin - she's still sick. But, if she bites the big one, I'm flying Corinne in to be my new IRL daughter. I will adopt her against her will.

So no worries.

PJ said...

::scaring the hell out of Corinne - making her wonder why she ever friended this crazy old lady::

kristin said...

good to know CK!

Well I hope she gets to feeling better!

Angie said...

Okay, CK, you win. I'm not gonna fight you for Corinne. I hear she's a pain in the ass, anyways. ;-)

Erin said...

Ohh SW- hoping there is not a voodoo hex cast upon you ;)

Angie said...

Dang good point, Erin. I take it back, Corinne!

Shannon said...

So as I have read here today getting all caught up from last night I have learned something new.

Apparently RiM is only 3 years and 2 days older than I am.......Guess that explains why I like her so much cause we have the same personality :)

And BD I dont think it is nice to teas RiM and I with a delicious party right in between our birthdays LOL

Angie said...

Hiya Shannon! ::waving::

Robin in Montana said...

Shannon -- that explains why we're almost always right. ::nods:: Did I ask you this before? Do you go to Dutch Bros? I *miss that coffee so stinking bad.

And I agree, flat-out mean of BD.

Long story, can't remember how much I said about it here, but the motor went out of my dad's truck in Missouri. A week and a half and almost $13,000 later, he's back on the road. Gosh.

Shannon said...

HI SW :) **waves**

I love the Dutch Bros....YUMMMMMMMM Put Starbucks to total shame.

That is freaking crazy about your dad's truck

Anonymous said...

Damn, "B" just posted a great comment on MWOP about how she came to doubt JM, then poof it was gone. She has seen her IRL, been to the same places, seen how her kids act, been to the Christmas party...too bad.

Robin in Montana said...

I have a friend who (used to, anyway) manages one of the DB's in Eugene. I love that kid. That company was started in Grants Pass by some guys whose family owns a dairy and happened to own a long stretch of river that they sold the gravel rights to. They had some serious cash before DB even started, and with the way it's taken off, they're rolling in it now. Dane Boersma, one of the brothers, just died recently at a pretty young age (I want to say mid 50's or so) of Lou Gehrig's disease. I love that it's small and privately owned and I really love that they give a percentage of profit back to their individual local communities, yet never say a word about it. My friend and her husband own the franchise over in Florence.

I think I can order it online. I need to look. Private Reserve. Yum.

kristin said...

Hi Christy, Hi Shannon.

Christy - she posted again!

Angie said...

Hi, Christy. Wonder why MWOP poofed the post? Any thoughts?

RiM, you did tell us about your Dad's truck, and WOW that's a big repair bill. I"m glad he got it fixed fairly quickly though. But WOW.

Angie said...

Somebody nab the post quick!

Angie said...

Here it is:

Well for me it was seeing her a while ago at Target with a cart full of junk and disposable diapers, her kids eating crap foods from the Target restaurant, and she drinking a large coffee.

or seeing them at the community center and hearing the kids say 'potty' and 'pee', not restroom or urinate. And in the pool alone.

Or driving by her house at night on my way into town and seeing the large flat screen TV flickering in the house, though she has vehemently claimed to be 'tv free' for years.

or being at her Christmas gathering at her house, and seeing her at least 4 times since then out in public, and her not even recognizing me, let alone saying hi.

Love the large flat screen TV flickering! I wish we knew if it was true.

SW:

I have no doubt it is true. Much as JM doesn't want to admit it, she is not Amish.

What do think her nanny is???? You know those kids are in front of a TV most of the day...not like mom and dad are paying attention to them they are too busy makin money keeping their blogging world filled up.

Jennifer-Lynn said...

I just made the world's largest, most delicious salad, and ate it all by myself.

Incidentally, I have lost 19 lbs. since Jan. 1, and most of that had nothing to do with surgery.

kristin said...

Awesome BD!

and I've subscribed to comments on MWoP, so if anything goes poof...I have them. :)

Robin in Montana said...

Yay for you, BD! Doing what, just eating good? Exercising?

<---had good intentions, but has become a lazy ass slacker.

Anonymous said...

There are others who have seen JMand know these things, too. I don't care if these things are true...it's the fakeness and lies that I can't stand.

Way to go BD. Is that due to WW?

Jennifer-Lynn said...

It is due to WW, and just making better choices. I haven't been exercising since the surgeries, but intend to as soon as the general surgeon gives me the go-ahead.

Robin in Montana said...

I'm not sure why, but while JM and the vegetable *bug me a bit, I just can't get that worked up over it. I think all the "big" bloggers are fake to a degree. I think Ree is fake as hell in trying to put out her life as a "normal" ranching experience, yet I still read her. As much as everyone says they want to hear "real," I think warm, feel-good bull still draws more people, and especially if it's cloaked in a "look how normal we are, we're just normal folk" kind of way.

JM doesn't really appeal to me because I really dislike the whole Bible-thumping thing, but her obvious lies and exaggerations don't really bother me. Things that squishy little man she is married to says on his new blog bug me worse than stuff she says, actually.

I get that they do bug others, and a *lot, but I'm just saying how I feel.

WEll, very good BD. I need to get inspired.

YOu know what pisses me off? Kelly and I have both put on some weight -- not really weight, but gotten 'soft' for sure since living together, because we both like to cook and we neither want to get out of bed and go to the gym, but since the 1st he's been really disciplined about going, and just *poof, his body changes back to what it was. I hate men. lol.

Great news from my favorite movie critic! Roger Ebert loves Shutter Island, the new horror flick out today! Who wants to see it, besides me? I know Corinne is in!

Here's his review in case you're interested: http://rogerebert.suntimes.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20100217/REVIEWS/100219980

Men suck. Agreed.

Robin in Montana said...

I totally want to see Shutter Island, and I am a terrible chicken.

Jennifer-Lynn said...

Oh, I still have a way to go.

I'd ideally like to lose 45 more points, to be the lowest I've ever been. However, I'll look good and fit into my old clothes in 25 lbs. Also, I would feel confident going to a plastic surgeon for my breast reduction in 25 lbs.

Although last night Mr. BD asked if we are still going ahead with another baby. My God, if he thinks anyone's living in this wounded pelvis for a while, he's out of his gourd.

Jennifer-Lynn said...

I read Shutter Island. Written by Dennis Lehane, author of Mystic River and Gone Baby Gone. Awesome book.

Robin in Montana said...

::smacks Mr. BD:::

Angie said...

OO BD, I loved both Mystic River and Gone Baby Gone, the movies. Didn't read the books. Both movies were haunting, in a non-horror way, of course.

I'm going to see Shutter Island, probably next weekend, after the initial rush to see it is over.

Wait, breast reduction BD? No more formidable bosom? Awwww.

My sister just texted me a picture she took of a license plate frame that says "If you think I'm a bitch, you should meet my sister." My sister's accompanying message was "Thinking of you."

Ha!

Hey MLwB - it gets kinda quiet around this time.

I'm trying to finish up some work before leaving to take LM to the doctor.

How are you?

Robin in Montana said...

MLWB -- I'm speaking to you! Just busy.

MY LIFE WITH BOYS! said...

Ha! I knew someone was there! I guess my timing sucks!

MY LIFE WITH BOYS! said...

I'm good Kristin,
How is LM? I read he has been sick. I hope he is on the mend?

kristin said...

alright ladies - I am out! Going to take LM to the doctor for his follow up.

MLwB - he is better but he has a nasty cough.

See ya later!

Angie said...

MLWB! How the heck are you? Yes, my sister and I are best buds. And I feel sorry for everyone who doesn't have a sister like that.

MY LIFE WITH BOYS! said...

Hey SW~
Speaking of sisters, I am off to my sisters house! After bowling this morning, she took son1 home with her for the afternoon. I'm off to pick up son1 and her son to come for a sleepover tonight.
There is nothing like a sister. We are best friends. I'll be back in a bit.

Angie said...

See ya later, MLWB!

Erin said...

SW- my kid would so go with you. He loves all the movies you do. He was watching the stranger again the other night. I can't even peek at it!

Jennifer-Lynn said...

My bosom is more than formidable. It's like a retractable awning that broke.

Robin in Montana said...

BD -- lol. And I am one who said I'd never, ever have a boob job. That subject has made a blip on my thought radar as of late.

I have many variations on pasta e fagioli (pronounced in my NY way as “pasta fajz-oal”). I had to do a meatless version today, because it’s Lent, and no beef broth, b/c some of the people eating the soup don’t eat mammal. So, here’s what I did, only I’m adding in a little meat for you, at the beginning. I just winged it; add stuff as you like.

2 tbsp. olive oil
2 oz. diced pancetta or salt pork (bacon will work, too, but it should be fatty)
Dried parsley, rosemary, basil and oregano to
taste (I love basil and oregano and use lots)
½ onion, diced (I used yellow onion)
4 cloves garlic, unpeeled and tossed in olive oil
1 ½ cups carrots, shredded
½ cup steamed cauliflower, pureed (I threw in
two cloves of roasted garlic while pureeing)
2 29 oz. can crushed tomatoes
2 cans white beans (I used cannellini beans)
drained and rinsed
4 cups chicken broth (I actually think ½ beef, ½
chicken is better)
1-2 cups small macaroni (elbows are good, but I
use ditalini)

Roast unpeeled garlic cloves until soft; peel and set aside.

Heat olive oil over medium heat; add meat, herbs, onions and carrots and sauté, stirring, until onions are soft. Add garlic and mash (using masher) into the other veggies. Add cauliflower and tomatoes, stirring until fully incorporated and bubbling. Add broth, beans and cook until it reaches a gentle boil (I feel that’s when the sauce and the broth is best blended). Cook macaroni separately according to package directions and add when serving; top with parmesan/romano/asiago cheese and red pepper flakes.
